、Designation: B911/B911M 12 (Reapproved 2016)Standard Specification forACSR Twisted Pair Conductor (ACSR/TP)1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B911/B911M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of
、 last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification coversACSR Twisted Pair Conductor(ACSR/TP) for use as overhead electric conductors (see Notes1 and
、 2).NOTE 1The conductor is fabricated from two component ACSRconductors of the same size twisted helically around each other. Thisconductor is identified by the code name of the component ACSRconductor followed by /TP or the size and type of the component ACSRconductor followed by /TP.NOTE 2There ar
、e registered trademark symbols that are also used toidentify the twisted pair notation. Consult cable manufacturers foradditional details.1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalent
、s; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.1.2.1 For conductor sizes designated by AWG or kcmil, therequirements in SI units have been numerically converted fromcorresponding values stated or
、derived in inch-pound units. Forconductor sizes designated by SI units only, the requirementsare stated or derived in SI units. For density, resistivity, andtemperature, the values stated in SI units are to be regarded asstandard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concern
、s, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2.
