Chemical Composition5.1 A stabilizing additive may be used with the zirconiumoxide. The
16、recommended stabilizing additive is either calciumoxide (CaO) or yttrium oxide (Y2O3). The recommendedadditive concentration in the case of CaO stabilization is 4 to8 weight %. In the case of Y2O3stabilization, the recom-mended additive concentration is 14 to 20 weight %.5.2 Use analytical chemistry
17、 methods as agreed upon be-tween the buyer and the seller.5.3 Impurity ConcentrationThe impurity concentrationexcluding the stabilizing additives shall not exceed 0.5weight %. Individual element limits are specified in Table 1.The buyer may specify additional limits for elements not listedin Table 1
18、.5.4 The total equivalent boron content (EBC) shall notexceed 500 g/g on a mass basis relative to ZrO2. The totalEBC is the sum of the individual EBC values. Rejection and Rehearing10.1 Unless the buyer and seller agree otherwise, rejectionand acceptance shall be on a lot basis.10.2 Powder lots that fail to conform to the
24、 requirements ofthe specification may be rejected by the buyer. The seller maypetition the buyer to waive selected requirements for identifiedout-of-specification lots. The decision to grant such waiverbelongs to the buyer. The seller may also apply any remedy tobring rejected lots into specificatio

Packaging
26、and Package Marking11.1 The powder shall be packaged in sealed containers forshipment from the seller to the buyer. The seller will beresponsible for using a shipping container which ensurescleanliness, minimizes moisture pickup, provides adequateprotection against damage during transportation, and
