3、tion; rejec-tion; certification; packaging and marking; and shipping, han-dling, and storage of gypsum panel products.2. Sampling2.1 When specified by the purchase agreement, samples ofgypsum panel products shall be taken at the place of manufac-ture or at the destination. If the samples are taken a
4、t thedestination, such samples shall be taken within 24 h of thereceipt of the material.2.2 At least 0.25 % of the number of gypsum panel productsin a shipment, but not less than three gypsum panel products,shall be so selected as to be representative of the shipment andshall constitute a sample for
5、 the purpose of tests by thepurchaser or user.3. Inspection3.1 Inspection of the gypsum panel products shall be agreedupon between the purchaser and the producer or supplier aspart of the purchase agreement.4. Rejection4.1 Rejection of gypsum panel products that fails to con-form to the requirements
6、 of the specification shall be reportedto the producer or supplier promptly and in writing. The noticeof rejection shall contain a statement documenting how thegypsum panel products has failed to conform to the require-ments of the specification.5. Certification5.1 When specified in the purchase agr
7、eement, a producersor suppliers report shall be furnished at the time of shipmentcertifying that the product is in compliance with the ASTMspecification referencing this specification.6. Packaging and Marking6.1 Unless otherwise specified in the purchase agreement,each gypsum panel product or packag
8、e shall have legiblymarked thereon the following: the thickness, the name of theproducer or supplier, the brand name, if any, and the ASTMspecification for the product.7. Shipping, Handling, and Storage7.1 Gypsum panel products shall be shipped so as to be keptdry.7.2 Gypsum panel products shall be
9、stored so as to be keptdry, preferably inside a building. Gypsum panel products shallbe neatly stacked flat with care taken to prevent sagging ordamage to edges, ends, and surfaces.7.3 Where necessary to store gypsum panel products out-side, it shall be stacked flat, off the ground, supported on a l
10、evelplatform, and fully protected from weather and direct sunlightexposure.8.
