Scope1.1 This standard covers four types of pozzolanic hydrauliclime for structural purposes which include use in mortar,scratch, brown, and f

3、inish (stucco) coats of interior or exteriorplaster.1.1.1 PHLPozzolanic hydraulic lime for use in mortar,scratch, brown, and finish (stucco) coats of interior or exteriorplaster.1.1.2 PHLcPHL with a maximum 20 % binder weight ofhydraulic cement.1.1.3 PHL-AAir-entrained PHL.1.1.4 PHLc-AAir-entrained

4、PHLc.1.2 This specification classifies pozzolanic hydraulic limeby minimum hydrated lime content, maximum hydraulic ce-ment content, and specific performance requirements.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversi

Terminology3.1 Definitions:3.1.1 Unless otherwise specified, for definitions of termsused in this standard see Terminology C51.3.1.2 air en

17、tion C150, Specification C595,or Performance Specification C1157 blended or interground.4. Requirements4.1 PHL, PHLcPHL-A and PHLc-A shall conform to therequirements prescribed in Table 1.5. Test Methods5.1 Water Soluble AlkaliWater soluble alkali shall betested according to the procedure in Test Me

18、thods C114,Section 17.2.5.2 SO3Sulfur trioxide content shall be tested accordingto the procedure of Test Methods C25, Section 23.5.3 CO2Carbon dioxide content shall be tested accordingto the procedure of Test Methods C25, Section 22.5.4 FinenessFineness shall be tested according to the wetsieve meth

19、od of Test Methods C110, Section 5.5.5 Time of SetDetermine the time of initial and final setaccording to Test Method C266, the Gilmore needle procedure,with the following changes:5.5.1 Determine the first penetration value after1hofrest,and every 4 6 2 h after that.5.6 Autoclave ExpansionAutoclave

20、Expansion shall bemeasured using the method described in Test Methods C110,Section 9.3, with the following modification:5.6.1 Weigh 25 6 0.1 g of one of four types of PHL. Add3.0 6 1.0 ml water to the weighed sample and mix by handuntil wetted. If the balance allows it, work directly in thespecimen

21、mold. If this is not possible, work in an intermediatecontainer and transfer the mixture to the specimen mold in ascomplete a state as possible. Press to 5.0 6 1.5 N/m2(725 6218 psi) for 10 s and demold the specimen and autoclave asdescribed.5.7 Preparation of MortarMortar, plasters and grout arespe

22、cified by volume proportion of the binder materials to theaggregate in a ratio of 1 volume part binder to 3 volume partaggregate or sand. Laboratory mixed mortars used for airentrainment, water retention and compressive strength testingfor this specification shall be measured by weight by convert-in

25、 accordingto the procedure of:5.8.1 Test Methods C110, Section 8. W1,W2,S1, and S2aredropped from the equation to be replaced by W4(weight of oneof four PHL, g) and S4(specific gravity of one of four PHL).The specific gravity of the PHL shall be provided by themanufacturer as determined by the metho

26、d of Test MethodsC110, Section 21, or determined by a gas pychnometer.NOTE 2The specific gravity of the four PHL will vary with compo-sition and a single value cannot be recommended.5.8.2 Test Methods C110, Section 8.4.3, using the air pailmethod.5.9 Water RetentionThe water retention value shall be

27、measured following Test Methods C110, Section 7.5.10 Compressive StrengthPrepare the mortar in accor-dance with Practice C305 with the exception that the binderand water are initially placed in the mixing bowl together andallowed to wet for 112 min prior to mixing. Store the mortar inthe molds for 6

28、0 6 12 h in sealed plastic bags prior tode-molding. Determine compressive strength in accordancewith Test Method C109/C109M. A minimum of three 2-in.cubes is required.5.11 Specimen StorageTest specimens shall be stored atnot less than 95 % R.H. in a moist room or cabinet followingthe requirements of

29、 Specification C511. The storage surfaceshall be in equilibrium with the space to ensure no moistureloss.6. Sampling and Inspection6.1 The sampling, rejection, retesting, packing, and markingshall be conducted in accordance with Practice C50.7. Special Package Marking7.1 When delivered in packages,
