6、 5.03.2 Inasmuch as iron oxide pigments are available in a rangeof colors, the mass color and, if desired by the purchaser, thecharacter of the tint formed by mixture with a white pigmentshall be within mutually agreed upon limits of a referencesample mutually agreed upon between the seller and thep
7、urchaser. This sample should be tested in accordance withTest Method D 387.4. Sampling4.1 Two samples shall be taken at random from differentpackages from each lot, batch, days pack, or other unit ofproduction in a shipment. When no markings distinguishingbetween units of production appear samples s
8、hall be takenfrom different packages in the ratio of two samples for each10 000 lb (5000 kg), except that for shipments of less than10 000 lb two samples shall be taken. At the option of thepurchaser, the samples may be tested separately, or afterblending in equal quantities the samples from the sam
9、eproduction unit to form a composite sample.5. Test Methods5.1 Tests shall be conducted in accordance with the follow-ingASTM test methods.
