Procedure5.1 Examination of Preparation for DeliveryExamine inaccordance with Table 1 to determine that packaging, packing,and marking comply with requirements specified in the con-tract or order. The sample unit
8、 for this examination shall be oneshipping container fully prepared for delivery.5.2 PackagingPackaging shall be commercial or Level A,as specified.5.2.1 CommercialThe material shall be packaged in ac-cordance with normal commercial practice. The completepackage shall be designed to ensure the item
9、against damageduring shipment, handling, and storage.5.2.2 Level AFor Military Procurement Only:5.2.2.1 Sheets, Rods, Tubes, Pipes, Fittings, and OtherShapesUnless otherwise specified in the contract or order,individual fabricated shapes shall be packaged in such amanner as to protect the material a
10、gainst physical and mechani-cal damage and contamination during transit. Only itemscomprised of a single National Stock number (NSN) oridentifying number shall be placed in one package. Individualsheets shall be masked or interleaved.5.2.2.2 Rolls of Film or SheetingThese shall be suppliedin rolls.
11、Each roll shall be wrapped with at least one layer ofpolyethylene film or kraft paper, and tightly sealed with tape toprevent contamination.5.3 PackingPacking shall be commercial or Level A, asspecified.5.3.1 CommercialThe material shall be packed in accor-dance with normal commercial practice. The
12、packaged mate-rial shall be packed to assure acceptance by common carrierand to provide product protection against loss and damageduring multiple shipments, handling, and storage. 17、 plywood cleated boxes conforming to Department ofTransportation (DOT) 19A. All items packed together must beof the same technical description.5.3.2.2 Resin, Powder, GranulesUnless otherwise speci-fied, the material in the quantity specified shall be packed inmetal drums conforming to DOT 17H. Insof
18、ar as practical,containers shall be of uniform shape and size, with minimumcube and tare consistent with the protection required. All itemspacked together must be of the same technical description.5.4 MarkingMarking for interior packages and shippingcontainers shall be as specified in the contract o

Ordering Information6.1 All orders shall include the following information:6.1.1 Title, number, and date of this practice: ASTM D3892,6.1.2 Type of material required,6.1.3 Color required, with tolerance and method of deter-mination, including whether determination shall be made onunproces
