Classification3.1 Two Classes of Product are Covered in This Specifica-tion:3.1.1 Class A, is made with asphalt saturated organic felt onthe bo
7、ttom and a coated or saturated non-woven glass felt ontop.3.1.2 Class B, is made with glass fabrics both top andbottom.3.1.3 Classes A and B, each include three thicknesses ofboard. If desired, one side of each of these classes may becovered with a thin plastic antistick sheet.4. Materials and Manuf
8、acture4.1 The protection board shall be comprised of layers ofasphalt and reinforcing mat. One surface of the board will beuniformly coated with a bituminous material for limitedweather protection.4.2 The length and width measurements shall be as specifiedby the manufacturer. The tolerances of these
9、 dimensions(length and width) shall be 66mm(14 in.)4.3 The surfaces of the protection board shall be uniformand free from defects such as cracks and indentations. Theedges shall be uniform.5. Sampling5.1 Each sample shall consist of sufficient material toprovide at least five specimens for the tests
10、 listed in Section 7.One representative sample shall be selected for each shipmentof 10 000 ft2or fraction thereof.6. Physical Requirements6.1 Nominal thicknesses of protection board are as follows:6.1.1 Type 1, board is116 in.6.1.2 Type 2, board is18 in.6.1.3 Type 3, board is14 in.6.2 Class A prote
