26、sion molded product. A space must be used as aseparator between the specification number and the typedesignation. No separators are needed between type, class andgrade. When special notes are to be included, such informationmust be preceded by a comma. Special tolerances must benoted at the time of
27、order and are inserted after the grade inparenthesis and preceded by a comma.5. Property Requirements5.1 The physical property values listed within this specifi-cations tables are to be considered minimum specificationvalues. Any requirement for specific test data for a givenproduction lot must be s
28、pecified at the time of order. Physicalproperties for products not yet included in Table S-PVDF shallbe specified using Table X for extruded or compression moldedproducts.6. Dimensional Requirements6.1 The type, class and grade is differentiated based ondimensional stability (elevated temperature ex
29、cursion test),Table S-PVDF and dimensional requirements, Tables A and B.Products shall be produced within commercial tolerances andwith the lowest stress levels for machined parts as delineated inTablesAand B for extruded and compression molded products.6.2 Tubular bar dimensions shall be supplied i
30、n the unfin-ished condition, unless otherwise specified at time of ordersufficient to finish to the nominal dimension ordered.6.3 The maximum allowable camber or bow, or both, shallbe within the limits referenced in Tables A and B.7. Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance7.1 AppearanceThe color of prod
31、ucts shall be as pub-lished by the shapes manufacturer. They shall be uniform inD6713 142color throughout the thickness. Specific colors and color-matching only agreed to by order. It is possible for physicalproperties to be affected by colors.7.2 FinishAll products shall be free of blisters, wrinkl
32、es,cracks, gouges and defects that restrict commercial use of theproduct. A special surface finish shall be supplied only whenspecified in the purchase order or contact.7.3 DefectsAll products shall be free of voids, dirt,foreign material and embedded particles exceeding132 in.maximum diameter as de
33、fined in 7.3.1.7.3.1 The criteria for determining internal cleanliness shallbe external visual inspection. A maximum number of twointernal defects per square foot of sheet and one foot length ofrod and tubular bar shall be allowed. Clusters of defects lessthan132 in. diameter are to be counted as a
34、single defect.8. Sampling8.1 Sampling shall be statistically adequate to satisfy therequirements of this specification as applicable.8.2 For purposes of sampling, an inspection lot for exami-nation and tests shall consist of all material of the same type,class, grade, and nominal size submitted for
35、inspection at onetime.9. Number of Tests9.1 Routine lot inspection shall consist of all criteria speci-fied in the applicable product tables.9.2 The criteria listed in these product tables and definitionsare sufficient to establish conformity of the sheet, rod or tubularbars to this specification. W
36、hen the number of test specimensis not stated in the test method, a single determination issufficient. If more than single determinations and separateportions of the same sample are made, the results shall beaveraged. The final result shall conform to the requirementsprescribed in this specification
37、.10. Test Conditions10.1 Conditioning of SpecimensCondition the test speci-mens in accordance with Procedure A of Practice D618.Conditioning time is specified as a minimum. Temperature andhumidity tolerances shall be in accordance with the Require-ments for Conditioning Atmospheres section of Practi
38、ce D618.10.2 Standard TemperatureConduct the tests at the sametemperature and humidity used for conditioning with toler-ances in accordance with the Requirements for ConditioningAtmospheres section of Practice D618.11. Test Methods11.1 Test tensile strength at break, and tensile modulus(tangent) in
39、accordance with Test Method D638, at the rate of0.2 in./min.11.1.1 Test all plate specimens in accordance with Type I ofTest Method D638.11.1.2 Test all rod specimens in accordance with TestMethod D638.11.2 Dimensional Stability:11.2.1 Specimen Preparation (A Minimum of Three TestSamples Required).1
40、1.2.1.1 Rods and Tubular BarPrepare each specimen bycutting a 1.5 in. long slice using a coolant and good machiningpractices to a length of 1.000 6 0.005 in. Each end of thespecimen shall have machined surfaces.11.2.1.2 PlateEach specimen shall consist ofa2in.diameter disc machined from the flat (di
41、ameter shall equal testspecimen thickness with a minimum of 2.0 in.). The same careshall be used in the machining as described in 11.2.1.1. Thethickness of the specimen shall be that of the original flat fromwhich it was cut, no machining being done on the top orbottom faces.11.2.2 Testing Procedure
42、Measure the outside diameterand thickness of the specimen as applicable at 73.4 6 1.8F (236 1C) to the nearest 0.0001 in. All measurements shall bedone on the centerline and 90 degrees from the centerline forplate. Also take measurements for thickness halfway to center,and for diameter at mid-point.
43、 Place the specimen in a bathconsisting of polyalkene glycol or an air circulating ovenheated to 280 6 5F (121 6 3C). After 6 h, allow thespecimen to slowly cool to room temperature at a rate not toexceed 40F (22C)/h. Measure the specimen at 73.4 6 1.8F(23 6 1C) and calculate the percent change in e
44、ach dimen-sion.11.3 Lengthwise Camber and Widthwise Bow:11.3.1 Make all measurements for camber and bow usingthe maximum distance rod, sheet or plate deviates from thestraight line extended from edge to edge when measured inaccordance with 11.3.2. The shape shall be oriented such thatthe weight of t
