Summary of Test Method3.1 Storage stability is determined by evaluation of thee
5、ffect of time, temperature, and environmental conditions onthe cleaning compound. Samples used for testing are filledcontainers taken from the manufacturers controlled productionformulation, packaged and delivered to the purchaser fornormal use. The sample container shall be subjected to thespecifie
6、d storage environment for a period of 12 months. Thetest shall be completed prior to 24 months from date ofpackaging.4. Significance and Use4.1 This test method determines the procedure to be used toensure the long term storage stability of aircraft cleaning andmaintenance products, in order to ensu
7、re their ability to meetthe shelf-life requirements called up in specifications or con-tract documents. The subsequent testing requirements aredetailed in the specification or contract.5. Sampling5.1 The sample for storage stability testing shall be takenfrom a controlled production formula, package
8、d lot, or batchdelivered in a sealed, filled container to the purchaser for use.This sample is normally a 1 gal can conforming to FederalSpecification PPP-P-704. This material shall have previouslybeen tested and passed all other specification requirements forqualification or acceptance. The sample
9、container selected forthe test shall be kept sealed and unopened for the duration ofthe test. Procedure6.1 Storage EnvironmentPlace the sample container in astorage area where a temperature of 50 to 91F (10 to 33C) ismaintained at least 80 % of the total storage test time. Do notsubject the storage test sample to temperature over 150F(66C) or under 10F (12C) during the
11、 entire test. Maintainthe sample container in a static condition not subject tovibration, rolling, inversion, or other movement. Movement tothe necessary temperature-controlled area for cold- and hot-temperature testing is excepted, but accomplish such transferwith minimum (or no) disturbance of con
12、tainer contents.6.1.1 Cold-Temperature Storage EnvironmentSubject thesample container to a 15-day time interval 17 6 3F (8 62C).
