、Designation: F 2032 06An American National StandardStandard Specification forHelmets Used for BMX Cycling1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F 2032; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last
、revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers performance requirements forhelmets used in BMX cycling. Studies have shown higher riskto the he
、ad and face for this sport as compared to recreationalstreet riding; therefore, this specification requires impact pro-tection over a larger area of the head than Specification F 1447and the CPSC standard. This specification also providesperformance criteria for helmets equipped with chin bars.1.2 A
、ll testing and requirements of this specification shallbe in accordance with Test Methods F 1446 except where notedherein.1.3 Partial utilization of this specification is prohibited. Anystatement of compliance with this specification shall be acertification that the headgear with faceguard meets all
、 of therequirements of the specification in their entirety. A headgearwith faceguard that fails to meet any one of the requirements ofthis specification is considered to have failed the specification, and shall not be sold with any indication that it meets parts ofthe specification.1.4 Headgear desig
