35、y Information)X1. CALCULATING THE WARNING PANEL SURFACE AREAX1.1 The letter height and pictogram size requirements ofthe fire safety warnings depend on the surface area of the panelon which it appears. This appendix provides information forcalculating the warning panel surface area.X1.2 The first st

36、ep to determine the minimum size of thecomponents of the fire safety warning is to calculate the entiresurface area of the warning panel. Using that result, refer toTable 1 (for text-only) or Table 2 (for text and pictogram) in thestandard to determine the minimum size requirements for thecomponents

37、 of the fire safety warning. It is important to notethat it is the total surface area of the warning panel that iscalculated, not the size of the labeled area or only the spotwhere the fire safety warning appears. Thus, if a manufacturerusesa4by4cmadhesive label to place the fire safety warningon th

EXAMPLE LABELSX2.1 The following example labels are provided solely toassist the reader in envisioning some of the many ways i

The use and placement of the fire safety warningwithin the specifications of this standard are at the discretion ofthe manufacturer.X2.2 Examples include labels that might appear on thebottom or side of a candle, on a surfa

Although the use ofmultiple language

It is the responsibility of the manufacturer todetermine what information is required to appear on a product.X2.6 Fig. X2.1 is an example of an abbreviated text-
