3、cation provides design, construction for steelstaples, handgrabs, handles, and individual stirrup rungs.1.2 The staples, handgrabs, and handles depicted in thisspecification are for use on steel structures including all partsof ships structure as necessary. The individual stirrup rungsare for use on

Ordering Data4.1 The purchasers ordering data shall include the follow-ing:4.1.1 Quantity, size, and type.4.1.2 Finish if other than specified in 7.1 and 7.2.5. Materials and Ma
7、nufacture5.1 Staple, handgrab, handle, and stirrup rung shall be madeof steel in accordance with Grade M 1020 of SpecificationA 575.6. Dimensions6.1 Dimensions of staple shall be as indicated in Table 1.6.2 Dimensions of handgrab and handle shall be as indi-cated in Table 2.6.3 Dimension of stirrup
8、rung shall be as indicated in Table3.6.4 Dimensions are given in inches; millimetre equivalentsappear in parentheses, and apply to this specification only.7. Finish7.1 Unless otherwise required by the ordering data, manu-facturers standard sandblast shall be acceptable. All roughedges shall be dress
9、ed smooth by grinding.7.2 Unless otherwise required by the ordering data, allstaples, handgrabs, handles, and stirrup rungs shall be coatedwith a nonhazardous corrosion inhibiting primer coating by themanufacturer.8. Product Marking8.1 Each staple, handgrab, handle, and stirrup rung shall bemarked w
10、ith the purchase order number, item number frompurchase order, ASTM designation number, and manufactur-ers name. Marking may be by paint, stencil, or weatherprooftag.NOTE 1When units of identical size are shipped together as apackage, each dozen or less may be marked by a single weatherproof tagin p
11、lace of marking or tagging each individual unit.9. Packaging and Package Marking9.1 Packaging shall be provided and be acceptable to acommon carrier.10.
