1、Designation: F2985 14Standard Practice forInstallation of a PVC Segmental Panel Liner System in Man-Entry Size Sewers and Conduits1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F2985; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of rev
2、ision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 The practice describes the procedures for the rehabili-tation of gravity pipes, culverts, tunnels,
3、and conduits by theinstallation of a field-fabricated PVC liner system. Afterinstallation of the liner system, cementitious grout is pumpedinto the annular space between the liner and the host structure. The rehabilitation of the host structure by this installationpractice results in a rigid composit
4、e structure (PVC liner/grout/existing pipe). This type of rehabilitation process is suitable fora variety of gravity pipe applications such as storm sewers, sanitary sewers, and culverts; and with geometries includingcircular, egg, ovoid, elliptical, arch, and site-specific compositeshapes.1.2 The va

The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onlyand are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated wit

Significance and Use Summary of Practice4.1 This practice is for use by
12、 engineers and ownersinvolved in the rehabilitation of gravity piping, conduits, andsmall-scale tunnels. This practice conveys the necessary globalinformation for the proper installation of a grout in place linersystem that can lead to a full restoration of the original hostsoil-structure interactio

In addition, this practice will alsoprovide guidance to the design professional on how to addressany modifications that must be made for any unique site-specific job conditions.5. The connection material shallbe installed in such a way as to make the penetration watertight at the new liner wall and to prevent the cementitious groutfrom entering the lateral during the

Damage thatis deemed cause for rejection will consist of: (1) abrasions, cuts, or gouges to the wall surface extending deeper than 10 %of the wall sur

Variations from true line andgrade may be inherent because of the conditions of the existingpipeline; however, the installation shall follow the horizontaland vertical alignment show

All service entrancesshall be accounted for and unobstructed.7.3 Compressive Strength Testing of the GroutIf r

Samples shall be taken at asufficient frequency to verify that the delivered compre

Design Considerations8.1 The design of the grouted PVC liner system is a functionof the condition of the existing pipeline-soil structure interac-tion system. The installat

The role of the PVC linermaterial is to provide a water-tight, corrosion-resistant barrierfor the gr

(157.5 mm) oncenter around the periphery of the liner, the anchoring of theliner to the grout is assured; thus, it is the grouts strength andthickness that is designed to work in concert with the host pipea
