The Customer Pre-Order Handling component manages the pre-order feasibility process, including identification of customer service address, available products, credit-worthiness, and product pricing. If one or more products are not available, the custome

The Service Address Validation component provides a valid service address format. An existing service instance id (such as a telep

The look up for valid service address also allows association of all policies concerning supplier/partner arrangements that are operative for this potential IPTV customer and allow

Based on a business relationship determined by a valid service address, the Alternative Service Provider Referral component provides up to date contact information concerning alternative services or service providers for a service address which is “out o

It determines the status of current and/or historic retail relationships between the customer and the Service Provider. The Service Desig

The Service Inventory component determines whether service resources are available to provide some or all of the service features at the service address. ATIS-03001

The Network Order Handling component receives the network order from the Service Order Handling component and requests facility assignment and provisioning of the network. When successfully completed, SDP registers the subscriber account and service features, and then notifies the Service Order Handling component of completion. The customer is notified of account number, and is emailed information on setting up online access to account for browser control features and paperless billing. 4.2.3 Scen

The Customer Order Handling component confirms the identity of the existing customer, including service address and current IPTV product pac

Based on the specific selection by the customer, the Customer Order Handling component creates and tracks the service order(s) necessary to provide the new su

The Service Order Handling component processes the received service order(s) and determines whether an upgrade to software for existing CPE is required to fulfill the order, if additional CPE equipment is required, or if return of CPE equipme

If new equipment is required or if existing equipment is to be returned, the component sends a request to the CPE Order Handling component. If existing CPE requires an upgrade, a request is sent to the Network Order Handling component. The
39、component also determines what service resources require reconfiguration, such as digital rights modifications, and issues a request to the SDP for those changes to be made. The Service Order Handling component waits for confirmation that both requests have been completed. 7The SDP component include

Since both OSS and service resources are contained within SDP, a transparent background was chosen to distinguish this circumstance. This scenario assumes the Service Provider will provide CPE equipment involved in the establishment of IPTV Service. There is also an assumption no interaction between End User and Network Provider is necess
