The Customer Pre-Order Handling component manages the pre-order feasibility process, including identification of customer service address, available products, credit-worthiness, and product pricing. If one or more products are not available, the custome

18、r is notified and alternative products as well as Service Provider contacts may be offered. This component is also able to respond to customer inquiry concerning prices. The Service Address Validation component provides a valid service address format. An existing service instance id (such as a telep

19、hone number for a current telephony customer) or service address data components may be used to provide a valid format. The look up for valid service address also allows association of all policies concerning supplier/partner arrangements that are operative for this potential IPTV customer and allow

20、s initial screening for service availability. Based on a business relationship determined by a valid service address, the Alternative Service Provider Referral component provides up to date contact information concerning alternative services or service providers for a service address which is “out o

21、f the service area” for the Service Provider. The Customer Inventory component provides details concerning current customers and their existing product purchases. It determines the status of current and/or historic retail relationships between the customer and the Service Provider. The Service Desig

The Service Inventory component determines whether service resources are available to provide some or all of the service features at the service address. ATIS-03001

23、01 9 The Resource Provisioning component determines the availability of suitable specific resources in the transport network terminated at the service address. It also determines the availability of specific resources within the service stratum. (These verification steps might involve interactions w

The Product Offering Inventory component provides details of products offered at the Service Address given available network and service resources determined from the solution design. The Credit Validate and Identity Management component verif

If the customer is new to the Service Provider, third party partners may be used to complete the evaluation. The Advice of Charge component determines price of products of parti

The Network Order Handling component receives the network order from the Service Order Handling component and requests facility assignment and provisioning of the network. If the IPTV Service Provider leases network from a Network Provider, additional interactions a

When the ATIS-0300101 11 network is provisioned, network management inventories are updated and the Service Order Handling component is notified. When the network has been configured and the CPE is on hand,

30、the Service Order Handling component will notify the Dispatch Center that they can send an installer to the customer premises on the due date. When the DNG is activated, the Service Order Handling component requests service activation from the SDP component7. The SDP coordinates provisioning with th

When successfully completed, SDP registers the subscriber account and service features, and then notifies the Service Order Handling component of completion. The customer is notified of account number, and is emailed information on setting up online access to account for browser control features and paperless billing. 4.2.3 Scen

33、ario 3: Existing customer orders a change in IPTV product subscription An existing customer orders a change in current IPTV service via a web portal, retail store, or phone. The order concerns a transition from one product package to another package, including termination of all service products. Ex

35、o Voice Mail, or Voice to Text. It is assumed that the customer is already served by a broadband network infrastructure, since it is an existing IPTV customer. The Customer Order Handling component confirms the identity of the existing customer, including service address and current IPTV product pac

36、kage subscription. This component provides information on possible product package modifications and resulting advice of charge consequences. Based on the specific selection by the customer, the Customer Order Handling component creates and tracks the service order(s) necessary to provide the new su

37、bscription and provides status to the customer as needed. The Service Order Handling component processes the received service order(s) and determines whether an upgrade to software for existing CPE is required to fulfill the order, if additional CPE equipment is required, or if return of CPE equipme

38、nt is required to fulfill the modification to subscription. If new equipment is required or if existing equipment is to be returned, the component sends a request to the CPE Order Handling component. If existing CPE requires an upgrade, a request is sent to the Network Order Handling component. The

39、component also determines what service resources require reconfiguration, such as digital rights modifications, and issues a request to the SDP for those changes to be made. The Service Order Handling component waits for confirmation that both requests have been completed. 7The SDP component include

40、s all NGN application layer service resources as well as management APIs. Since both OSS and service resources are contained within SDP, a transparent background was chosen to distinguish this circumstance. Once this request is processed successfully, the SDP modifies the subscriber account to include the change in service features, and notifies the Ser

If needed, the Service Order Handling component will notify the Dispatch Center that they can send an installer to the customer premises on the due date to complete any further onsite installation work required. Once the dispatch activities are completed,

It then updates the Customer Billing component of any charging changes with effective date. If the modification is for

After confirmation of these modifications and after the customer has returned any outstanding CPE equipment, the Custo

This scenario assumes the Service Provider will provide CPE equipment involved in the establishment of IPTV Service. There is also an assumption no interaction between End User and Network Provider is necess
