8、 Chemistry, of the InternationalOrganization for Standardization (ISO). As international agreement is reached on the methods, it is proposed to publish them as parts of this BritishStandard. This part is technically identical with ISO Recommendation R853, “Sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium pyrophos
9、phate for industrial use. Determination of loss on ignition”. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. 11、table on the inside front cover.BS4427-4:1969 BSI 11-1999 1 1 Scope This Part of BS4427 describes a method for the determination of loss on ignition of sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium pyrophosphate for industrial use. 2 Principle The principle of this method of test is ignition at550 25 C to cons
12、tant mass. 3 Apparatus Ordinary laboratory apparatus with the following shall be used: 3.1 Porcelain crucible, approximately25mm in diameter. 3.2 Electric furnace, regulated at550 25 C. 4 Procedure 4.1 Test portion. Weigh to the nearest milligramme, approximately5g of the test sample, into the porce
13、lain crucible (3.1) previously ignited at550 C, cooled in a desiccator and weighed. 4.2 Determination. Place the crucible containing the test portion (4.1) in the furnace (3.2), start heating and progressively raise the temperature to550 25 C. Maintain it at this temperature for about1h. Then remove
14、 the crucible from the furnace and place it in a desiccator. Weigh after cooling. Repeat the heating to550 25 C to constant mass. 5 Expression of results Loss on ignition expressed as a percentage by mass, is given by the following formula: 6 Test report State the following in the report: 1) the ref
