32、nmanydetailsdefinitionsare necessarytoensureinteroperability.Therefore,thosedetaileddefinitionsaregiveninanetworkspecificpart (CEN/TS148218).WiththedevelopmentoffuturemobilecommunicationsystemstowardsUMTS/IMT2000 thebottleneckofnarrowbanddatacommunicationmightfade.Duetoitsmodularstructure,theGATS fr
33、ameworkandapplicationsarepreparedforthatduetoitsnetworkindependence.Thesameholdsfor emergingtechnologiesforpositioningwhichtodayisalmostexclusivelybasedonGPS. Scope ThisCEN/TSdefinesthespecificinterfacesandfunctionalityoftraffictelematics(TT)servicesbasedonthe useofcellularnetworks.Devicemanufacturersareenabledtodevelopterminalequipmentcompat
