Aretractabletypefallarrestermaycompriseadrumaroundwhichtheretractablelanyardreelsorunreels,ora returnpulleywithcounterweights. 4.2 Materialsandconstruction

29、 Theretractablelanyardshallbeawirerope,awebbingorasyntheticfibrerope.Thematerialofaretractable lanyardshallconformto4.2.2and4.2.3ofEN354:2002. Itshallbeconfirmedbythestaticstrengthtestspecifiedin5.2thattheinternalendoftheretractablelanyardis suitablysecuredtothedevice. Theexternalendoftheretractable

30、lanyardshallbesuitablyterminated. EnergyabsorbersnotintegratedintheretractablelanyardshallconformtoEN355.Energyabsorbersintegratedin theretractablelanyardshallconformtoEN355,butneednotbetestedinaccordancewith5.2ofEN355:2002. ConnectorsforretractabletypefallarrestersshallconformtoEN362andshallincorpo

31、rateaswivelfunction. 4.3Locking 4.3.1Locking after conditioning Whenconditionedasdescribedin5.1.2.1andtestedasdescribedin5.1.2.3withaminimumtestmassof5kg,the retractabletypefallarrestershallineachcaselockandremainlockeduntilreleased. 4.3.2 Lockingafteroptionalconditioning Ifthemarkingontheretractabl

32、etypefallarresterandtheinformationsuppliedbythemanufacturer(seeclauses6 and7)claimsafeatureconcerningtheuseunderspecificconditions(see5.1.2.2),thelockingfunctionofthe retractabletypefallarrestershallbetestedaccordingly . Whenconditionedasdescribedin5.1.2.2andtestedasdescribedin5.1.2.3withaminimumtes
