24、streaminsmallbubblesintotheabsorptionliquid 4Principle Asamplestreamoffluegasisextractedrepresentativelyfromaductorchimneyoveracertainperiodoftimewitha controlledflowandknownvolume.Dustinthesampledgasstreamiscollectedonafilterwhereafterthegasstream ispassedthroughaseriesofabsorbers,whichcontainanapp
25、ropriateabsorptionsolutionforcollectinggaseous mercury. Attheendofthesamplingperiodthefilterandabsorptionsolutionarecollectedtobetakentothelaboratory. Thecollecteddustonthefilterisdigestedinsuchawaythatthemercurycontainedinthedustfractionisdissolved inaliquid.Thisliquidisthenanalyzed. Theabsorptions
26、olutionfromtheabsorbersispreparedforanalysisandanalyzed. Thedatafromthesamplingandanalysisarecombinedandtheresultsareexpressedinmilligramsoftotalmercury percubicmeter(mg/m 3 )offluegas. TheanalysisofmercuryisperformedaccordingtoEN1483. 5 Samplingequipment 5.1 Conditionsforisokineticandnonisokinetics
27、ampling Althoughmercuryismainlypresentinthegaseousform,itcanalsobefoundinthedustphaseaswellasin dropletswhichcanbepresentafterwetscrubbers.Thereforeisokineticsamplingisnecessaryinordertocollect dustanddropletscorrectly. Whensamplinghastobeperformedisokineticallythenbothdustanddroplets,aswellasfluega
28、s,shallbesampled inoneandthesameequipment.Thisapproachisnecessary,duetothedelicategaseous/solid/dropletpartitioning ofmercury. NOTE1 Asthetotalmercurycontentistobedetermined,ashiftintheequilibriumwithinasinglesamplingsystemdoesnot influencethemeasurementofthetotalamountofmercury. Ifthesumofthemercur
29、ycontentinthedustphaseanddropletscorrespondstolessthan1 g/m 3 ,thengaseous mercurycanbesamplednonisokinetically. NOTE2 Anestimateoftheamountofmercuryindropletsmaybedeterminedonbasisofthemercurycontentinthewet scrubbersolutionandthedropletcontentinthefluegas. Inthecasethatnodropletsarepresentnonisoki
30、neticsamplingcanalsobeperformedwhentheratiobetweenthe highestandlowestvelocityatanypointinthesamplingplaneislessorequaltoafactorof1,2. 5.2Generalrequirements Thesamplingequipmentconsistsof aprobewithanentrynozzleandatemperaturecontrolledtube; afilterhousingwithafiltersupportandafilter;Page6 EN13211:

Thefilterhousingmaybelocated: intheductorchimneymounteddirectlybehindtheentrynozzle(instackfiltration); outsidetheductorchimneydirectlybehindthesuctiontube(outstackfiltration). Inthelattercase(outstackfiltration)thef
32、ilterhousingshallbetemperaturecontrolled. NOTE Thefiltercanalsobeplaced semioutstack,intheprobeafterashortpieceofgaspreheatedsuctiontube. 5.3Isokineticsamplingequipment ReferenceismadetoprEN132841:1998forthespecificdetailsabouttherequirementsofthesampling equipment,includingtheequipmentforthedetermi
33、nationandmaintainingofisokineticconditions. Inthispresentstandardonlyspecificrequirementsforthesamplingofmercury(gaseous,dustanddroplets)are stated,additionaltothosespecifiedinprEN132841:1998. NOTE1 ThegeometricaldimensionsofglassnozzleswilldeviatefromthosespecifiedinprEN132841:1998,butthe deviation
34、scanbedecreasedsothattheremainingdifferenceswillnothaveasignificantinfluenceontheresult. Dependinguponthetypeofabsorbersused(see5.5)twodifferentsamplingarrangementsmaybeemployed;aso calledmainstreamarrangementorasidestreamarrangement. Inthemainstreamarrangementallthesampledfluegasispassedthroughthea
35、bsorbers,butinthesidestream arrangementonlyapartofthesampledfluegasispassedthroughtheabsorbers. FiguresofbotharrangementsoftheisokineticsamplingequipmentfortotalmercuryaregiveninAnnexA. Thesamplingprobeshallbetemperaturecontrolled.Ifanoutstackfilterisemployedthenthisshallalsobe temperaturecontrolled
36、. NOTE2 Incasesofwetfluegasescontainingdropletsorsaturatedfluegasesitisadvisedtouseoutstackfiltration. NOTE3 InthecaseofthesidestreamarrangementtheconnectiontotheTpieceandtheTpieceitselfshallbetemperature controlled.Insulationoftheseparts,withoutadditionalheating,isnotallowed. NOTE4 Theheatinputfrom

38、reamarrangement. Dependinguponthegasflowemployed,differenttypesofabsorbers(see5.5)maybeused. AfigureofthenonisokineticsamplingequipmentisgiveninAnnexA. Thesamplingprobeshallbetemperaturecontrolled.Ifanoutstackfilterisemployedthenthisshallalsobe temperaturecontrolled. Thepartsoftheequipmentthatareinc

Downstreamoftheseabsorbersanextraemptyabsorbermaybeusedasaliquidtrapandasaprotectionforthe downstreamequipment. Theamountofme
40、rcurycollectedinthesecondabsorbershallcorrespondtolessthan5%ofthetotalamountof mercuryinbothabsorbersorlessthan2 g/m 3 ,whicheveristhegreatest. Impingersorfrittedbubblerscanbeused(figuresofabsorbersarecontainedinAnnexB). NOTE1 Impingershavetheadvantagethattheycanbeemployedunderhighflowrateconditions

43、5.6Filter 5.6.1 Filtercollectionefficiency ForthefiltercollectionefficiencythesamespecificationsasinprEN132841:1998arerequired.Thisefficiencyshall becertifiedbythesupplier. Thefiltermaterialshallhaveanefficiencyof99,5%onatestaerosolwithamaximumabundanceataparticle diameterof0,3 matthemaximumflowrateanticipated,(or99,9%onatestaerosolof0,6 mmeandiameter), seeprEN132841:1998. 5.6.2 Filtermaterial Thefiltermaybeofanyshape(flat,thimbleor
