Repeatthisprocessforalltestspecimens. 4.4Testprocedure SelectthestandardLissajousmotionasspecifiedinENISO1

Movethespecimenholderguideplatetoensurefreeaccessoftheabradingtables.EN13770:2002(E) 7 Mountnewabradantoneachoftheabradingtablesoverthewovenwoolfeltandcompressboththe feltandabradantwithapressingweighthavingamassof(2,5 0,5) kgandadiameterof (120 10)mm. Fittheclampingringandsecurethefeltandabr
34、adantfirmly,ensuringitisfreefromtucksandridges. Removethepressingweight. Replacetheabradantatthestartofeachtestorafter50000rubs.Changethefeltwhenitisjudged thelevelofsoilingisheavyand/orcouldcausecontaminationtolightcolouredspecimens. Repositiontheholderguideplate.Placethemountedspecimensontotheabra

40、eto abrasionisestimatedbythenumberofcyclestoeithertotalbreakdownorthinningofonecomponent. 5.2Apparatus 5.2.1Abrasion tester (FigureC.1) Theslipper(1)ispositionedonarail(2)betweentwolateraldiscs(3)whicharesecuredontotherail withscrews(4).Thediscsarepositionedsoastorestrictthelateralmovement,butnotthe
41、vertical movement,oftheslipperinslot. Thisfreedomofverticalmovementensuresthatthepressureonthetestspecimenisgivenbythe massoftheslipperonly.Themassoftherailhasnoeffectsbecauseitliesontherollerbearing(6) whichisfixedontheframe. Ifrequired,additionalloadscanbepositionedontheslipperusingthesupport(7).
