It supersedes DD CEN/TS 45545-2:2009, which is withdrawn, and together with BS EN 45545-1:2013, BS EN 45545-3:2013, BS EN 45545-4:2013, BS EN 45545-5:2013, BS EN
3、45545-6:2013 and BS EN 45545-7:2013, it supersedes BS 6853:1999, which will be withdrawn on 10 December 2015.BSI, as a member of CEN, is obliged to publish EN 45545-2 as a British Standard. However, attention is drawn to the fact that during the de-velopment of this European Standard, the UK committ
4、ee voted against its approval as a European Standard.The principal technical concern is that, in the opinion of the UK committee, the test method for complete passenger seats, set out in Annex B, does not provide a level of discrimination commonly employed in UK practice, in accordance with existing
5、 national standards. Seats which would fail the existing UK standard might pass the test and satisfy criteria in EN 45545-2.The existing UK standard BS 6853:1999 is still current and will remain so for up to 3 years after publication of EN 45545. The UK committee advises users to be aware of this co
6、ncern when applying this standard. In using the ope
39、ration and design categories defined in EN 45545-1, the requirements laid down in this part take into account the current operating conditions for European public rail transport. The operation and design categories defined in
41、EN 45545-1 are used to establish hazard levels that are used as the basis of a classification system. For each hazard level, this part specifies the test methods, test conditions and reaction to fire performance requirements. It is not within the scope of this European Standard to describe measures
