7、 2: Particular requirements for coffee mills and coffee grinders, published by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). It was derived by CENELEC from IEC335-2-33:1987 published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The CENELEC common modifications hav

8、e been implemented at the appropriate places in the text and are indicated by a side line in the margin. Parts of the original IEC text that have been modified by CENELEC have been quoted in National annex NA. This BritishStandard is to be read in conjunction with BS3456-201:1990 General requirement

9、s, which it supplements or modifies. The many references to Part1 should be read as references to BS3456-201, which is the English language version of EN60335-1 which was derived from the 1983 reprint of IEC335-1:1976 including Amendments1,2 and3 to IEC335-1:1976. This BritishStandard supersedes BS3

10、456-102.33:1988, which is withdrawn. Product approval. Attention is drawn to the fact that products conforming to this BritishStandard may be approved by the British Electrotechnical Approvals Board for the purposes of participation in the CENELEC Certification Agreement and in the CB Scheme of the

This proposal was discussed during the Neusiedl meeting in May1

21、988 when it was decided to submit a draft for EN60335-2-33 to the voting procedure. This procedure started in October1988. The text of this draft was ratified by the CENELEC Technical Board on the12th of June1989. Foreword This European Standard has been prepared by the Secretariat of CENELEC Techni

22、cal Committee61. The following dates are applicable: This European Standard replaces HD260 S3:1987. For products which have complied with HD260S3:1987 before1990-06-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a Certification Body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until1995-06-0

23、1. This document supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses of IEC335-2-33:1987 so as to convert that standard into the European Standard EN60335-2-33. This standard has be to used in conjunction with EN60335-1:1998, “Safety of household and similar electrical appliances Part1: General requir

24、ements”, including its Amendments2:1988, 5:1989 and6:1989. Where a particular sub-clause of Part1 is not mentioned in this Part2, that sub-clause applies as far as it reasonable. Where this standard states “addition”, “modification” or “replacement”, the relevant requirement, test specification or e

25、xplanatory matter in Part1 is to be adapted accordingly. Sub-clauses which are in addition to those in IEC335-1 are numbered starting with101. 32、applicable except as follows: 1.1 Replacement: This standard applies to coffee mills and coffee grinders having hoppers with a capacity not exceeding500g of coffee beans, and intended for household use only. Coffee grinding and coffee milling attachments intended to be used in combination with multi

33、-purpose kitchen machines are within the scope of this standard; such machines must also comply with EN60335-2-14 Particular Requirements for Electric Kitchen Machines. Until an IEC standard for coffee mills and coffee grinders for commercial catering purposes is issued, this standard may form a gui

34、de to suitable requirements and tests for such appliances. This standard does not take into account the special hazards which exist in nurseries and other places where there are young children or aged or infirm persons without supervision; in such cases, additional requirements may be necessary. For

35、 appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary. For appliances intended to be used in tropical countries, special requirements may be necessary. Attention is drawn to the fact that in many countries additional requirements are spec

36、ified by the national health authorities. 2 Definitions This clause of Part1 is applicable except as follows: 2.2.30 Replacement: Normal load denotes the load obtained when the appliance is breaking up roasted coffee beans, any grain-size control which can be adjusted by the user being set to the po

37、sition giving the smallest grain size. During operation, the appliance is slightly shaken or tapped. In case of doubt, the coffee beans are conditioned for24h at a temperature of30 2 C in air with a relative humidity of60 2% before starting the relevant test; after conditioning it is checked that th

38、e beans have a density of0.65 0.03g/cm 3 . Additional definitions: 2.2.101 Coffee mill denotes an appliance designed to break up coffee beans by means of cutting blades rotating at high speed. 2.2.102 Coffee grinder denotes an appliance designed to break up coffee beans by means of disks, cylinders,

39、 cones or similar devices. In general, the process of breaking up coffee beans is known as grinding, whether it is done in a mill or a grinder. 3 General requirement This clause of Part1 is applicable. 4 General notes on tests This clause of Part1 is applicable except as follows: 4.2 Addition: Three

40、 additional samples are required for the test of Sub-clause19.101. 4.13 Replacement: The appliance is operated for the period specified for the relevant test, irrespective of any marking for short-time or intermittent operation, unless otherwise specified. Additional sub-clause: 4.101 The appliances

41、 are tested as portable appliances, unless they are designed to be fixed to a support. Hand-held appliances are subjected to the additional tests specified for such appliances. 5 Rating This clause of Part1 is applicable except as follows: 5.1 Replacement: The maximum rated voltage is250V. Complianc

42、e is checked by inspection of the marking. 6 Classification This clause of Part1 is applicable. 7 Marking This clause of Part1 is applicable except as follows: 7.12 Addition: The appliance shall be accompanied by an instruction sheet giving details for safe handling, cleaning and maintenance. 8 Prot

43、ection against electric shock This clause of Part1 is applicable. 9 Starting of motor-operated appliances This clause of Part1 is applicable. 10 Input and current This clause of Part1 is applicable except as follows: 10.1 Modification: Instead of the test specification, the following applies: Compli

44、ance is checked by measuring the input of the appliance, operated at rated voltage and under normal load,10s after the appliance has been switched on or immediately before the grinding operation is completed, whichever is the shorter period.EN60335-2-33:1990 6 BSI 01-2000 11 Heating This clause of P

45、art1 is applicable except as follows: 11.7 Replacement: Appliances having a separate container for collecting the ground coffee are operated twice, with a rest period of1min between the periods of operation. For each period of operation, the appliance is kept switched on for the time required to gri

46、nd the quantity of coffee beans necessary to fill the collecting container completely, to grind125g of coffee beans or to empty the hopper, whichever is the shortest period, unless a timer is provided, in which case the timer is adjusted to the longest period that can be provided. Before each period

47、 of operation, the hopper is completely filled with coffee beans. Other appliances are operated three times, with a rest period of1min between the periods of operation. For each period of operation, the appliance is kept switched on for the time required to grind the maximum quantity of coffee beans

48、 stated in the manufacturers instructions, for the rated operating time or for30s, whichever is the longest period, unless a timer is provided, in which case the timer is adjusted to the longest period that can be provided. Before each period of operation, the hopper is filled with the maximum quant

49、ity of coffee beans stated in the manufacturers instructions. 11.10 Modification: For motors of coffee mills and coffee grinders, p=500. 12 Operation under overload conditions of appliances with heating elements This clause of Part1 is not applicable. 13 Electrical insulation and leakage current at operating temperature This clause of Part1 is applicable. 14 Radio and television interference suppression This clause of Part1 is applicable. 15 Moisture resistance This clause of Part1 is applicable. 16 Insulation resistance and electr
