20、testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this test is to define a standard test method to assess the ability of components to be stored and/or to functio

25、 2 Preparation 2.1 Preparation of the specimen Specimens shall be equipped with their normal accessories, mounted as specified in the detail specification. When required by the detail specification, the specimen shall be mated and unmated as many times as specified prior to testing. For each test ca
26、rried out, the detail specification shall specify the condition of the component, for example mated or unmated. 2.2 Wiring of specimen Specimens shall be wired as specified in the detail specification. Specimens with polarization voltage shall be wired; alternate terminations shall be connected toge
27、ther to form two groups. 2.3 Preconditioning Preconditioning shall be of at least 1 h, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification. 3 Test method 3.1 Conditioning This test shall be carried out in accordance with IEC 60068-2-3, Test Ca: Damp heat, steady state, using the degree of severit
28、y specified in the detail specification. 3.1.1 Polarization voltage When specified in the detail specification, a polarization voltage shall be applied to two of the specimens during conditioning. On specimen No. 1 the polarization voltage shall be applied across the first group of terminations and
29、the second group connected to the housing (shell) and/or the mounting plate. On specimen No. 2 the polarization voltage shall be applied across the second group of terminations and the first group connected to the housing (shell) and/or the mounting plate. 3.2 Initial measurements Initial measuremen
30、ts shall be carried out as specified by the detail specification. 3.3 Measurement during the test When required by the detail specification, the following test shall be carried out at the end of the test while the specimen is still at high humidity: Insulation resistance test IEC 60512-3-1, Test 3a.
