16、6m: Un-wrapping, solderless wrapped connections 1 Scope and object This part of IEC 60512, when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of technical committee 48. It may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specif
17、ication. The object of this part of IEC 60512 is to detail a standard test method to determine if a wrapped connection has been made without damaging the wrapping wire. Such wrapped connections are described in IEC 60352-1. NOTE This test is regarded as destructive of all components used. 2 Normativ

20、st with a wrapped connection as described in the component detail specification. The wrap post may be cut off from a component. Any pre-conditioning of the samples required by the applicable detail specification shall be applied. 3.2 Equipment The wrap post, or the component attached to the wrap pos
21、t, shall be held in such a manner that the post may be easily and freely rotated about its axis. There shall be means, which may be manual, of maintaining tension in the wrapping wire. The means and the tension shall not induce any (additional) twist or stress in the wrapping wire. 4 Test method 4.1
22、 Procedure The wrapped connection shall be carefully un-wrapped by rotating the wrap post while keeping the wrapping wire under a small but adequate tension such that the wrapping wire is substantially straightened by this process. 3 BS EN 60512-16-13:20084.2 Measurements and requirements 4.2.1 Befo
23、re testing Visual examination according to IEC 60512-1-1 shall be carried out. There shall be no defects, nor shall there be any features, or other items, which would impair the validity of the test. 4.2.2 During testing The wire shall be substantially straightened without breaking. If there are are
24、as of damage to the wrapping wire, while not causing breakage, such that breakage is imminent, this shall be recorded. NOTE Small notches or indentations are the normal result of wire wrapping. 5 Details to be specified When this test is required by a detail specification, the following shall be giv
25、en therein: a) preconditioning required; b) details of the specimen; NOTE Geometrical, metallurgical and surface finish details of the post and wire as well as tooling and application details, are considered essential. c) number of specimens to be tested; d) any deviation from the standard test meth
