31、modeisacceptablefornonfluorescentspecimens.Reflectance colourmeasuringinstrumentsmaybebroadlydividedintotwogroups: a)Spectrophotometers(typicallydiffuse/0,usingpolychromaticillumination)separateandmeasure thespectrumoflightreflectedfromthespecimenrelativetoareferencewhiteatregularintervals (waveleng

EN ISO 105-J01:19995 Ingeneral,instrumentstandardizationinvolvesmeasuringacleanwhitesurfaceofknownreflectance factorsandcalculating(throughsoftwarebuiltint
42、otheinstrumentorcomputerprogram)aseriesof correctionfactorswhichwillbeappliedtosubsequentmeasurements.Someinstrumentsalsorequirea blacktile(orlighttrap),andpossiblyagreytile.Eachofthesematerialsshallbemaintainedinitsoriginal clean,unscratchedcondition.Refertothespecificmanufacturersrecommendationsfo

Thefrequencywithwhichthisstandardizationisperformeddependsonmanyfactorsincludingthetype ofinstrument,theenvironmentalconditionsinwhichtheinstrumentoperates,andtherequiredaccuracy oftheresults.Formostapplications,anintervalof2hto4hisacceptable. Oncethestandardizationstephasbee
44、nperformed,itisimportanttoverifythesuccessoftheprocedure bymeasuringsomecolouredmaterial s (verificationstandards)andcomparingtheresultingcolorimetric valuestotheoriginalvaluesforthesematerials.Ifthemeasuredvaluesdonotfallwithinanacceptable variationfromtheiroriginalvalues,thestandardizationisnotconsideredvalid.Thenumberof verification standardsandtheacceptabilitylimitsdependonuserrequirements,butaret
