23、ed Kingdom.5IntroductionA bursting discsafety device isa non-reclosingpressure relief device used to protect pressure equipment such aspressure vessels, piping, gas cylinders or otherenclosures from exces sive pressure and/orexcessive vacu um.A bursting discsafety device typicallycomprise san assemb

24、ly of components including a bursting disc, a burstingdisc holderand,where necessary, other components such as back pressure supports, stiffening rings etc.The bursting discisa pressure-containing and pressure-sensitive part of the bursting disc safety device and isdesigned to openbybursting at apre

25、-determined pressure. There are many different types of bursting disc safetydevices manufactured in corrosion resistant materials, both metallic and non-metallic, to cover a wide range ofnominal sizes,burst pressures and temperatures.1 ScopeThis part of this European Standard specifies the requireme
