38、.1Reductionofsolid(powdered,pearl,cubeandgranulated)gluesample Grindthesamplebyhandinamortar,oralternativelyin a laboratory disintegrator, of a type capable of grinding the sampletoaparticlesizeof3mmorsmaller.Thissampleis called the test sample. If necessary, quarter this sample in the usual manner
39、to bringthefinalmassto50 0 g,takingcarethatarepresentativeamountofallparticlesizesis included in the quartering. Keep the powdered samplessoobtainedintwoairtightcontainers,onecontainerforthe testsampleformoisturecontent(seeclause6)andthesecondcontainerforallothertests. The type of disintegrator used
40、 to grind thesampleshallbeagreedonbetweenthepurchaserandvendorbecause different types of disintegratorgeneratedifferentamountsofheatandhavedifferenteffectsonthemoisturecontent ofthesample.
