GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The garment shall be constructed to neit
29、her adversely affect its protective characteristics against flash fire nor contribute to the severity of the bum injury of the wearer. The garment closures shall be so constructed to secure the garment in order to provide protection consistent with the requirements of this standard. DETAILED REQUIRE
30、MENTS Type 1 - Single Layer Garments Flame Resistance - The protective fabric shall be tested in accordance with par. 7.1 and shall have an average damaged length of not more than 100 mm in either direction and average aftefflame of not more than 2.0 s. 36、es of dry cleaning, after fifty cycles of washing and drying, and after five cycles of dry cleaning. * 6.1.2 Thermal Protection 6.1.2.1 The protective fabric as received from the mill shall exhibit an average Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) value of 6 or greater, with no individual value less t
37、han 5.5, when tested in accordance with par. 7.2.1. The average test result using this method shall be indicated on the garment label (par. 8.1.1). 6.1.2.2 The protective fabric as received from the mill shall also be tested in accordance with par. 7.2.2 and 7.2.3. There is no minimum TPP requiremen
38、t, using this method however for information purposes, the average test result shall be indicated on the garment label (par. 8.1.1). 6.1.3 Heut Resistance - The protective fabric and other textile materials shall not melt, separate or ignite when individually tested in accordance with par. 7.3.1. 40、y. Thermal Shrinkage Resistance - When tested in accordance with par. 7.3.1, knitted fabrics used in wristlets and at ankles shall not shrink more than 10% in any direction.
