SCOPE 1.1 This standard provides the requirements for the wrapping, strapping and palletizing of canned fish boxes for export as aid. This standard is intended to be used in food aid con

29、itions apply in this standard9 Deck (Plancher A flat horizontal surface, either slatted or solid. The top deck is the load-carrying surface and the bottom deck is the mass-disibuting surface. Pailet (Palette) A horizontal platform used as a base for assembling, storing, handling and transporting mat
30、erials and products as a unit load. DETAILED REQUIREMENTS Maximum Number of Pallets in a Stack* 4.1 Design - Pallets used shall be in accordance with the Pallet Manufacturing and Repair Specifica

33、 must be compatible with the strap. The strength of the sealed joint shali be at least 40% of the breaking strength of the srapping when tested in accordance with ASTM D 3950. Stretch Wrapping - The filled boxes shall be loaded onto pailets as given in par. 4.2 and stretch wrapped. The stretch film
34、shall be at least 0.02 mm thick, clear and weatherable. (For infomation on the selection of stretch film, see ASTM D 4649.) The stretch film shall be applied using at least a semi-automatic machine with a pre-stretching feature. It shall be wrapped at least three times full web or at least three tim
35、es around the top and the bottom and shail spiral up the sides with a 50% fiim overlap. The stretch film shall overiap at least 10 cm beyond the edge of the top and on the paliet. 4.4 5.
