CSA Internationalprovides certification s
34、ervices for manufacturers who, under license from CSA, wish to use theappropriate registered CSA Marks on certain products of their manufacture to indicate conformity withCSA Standards.CSA Certification for a number of products is provided in the interest of maintaining agreed-uponstandards of quali
35、ty, performance, interchangeability and/or safety, as appropriate. Where applicable,certification may form the basis for acceptance by inspection authorities responsible for enforcement ofregulations. Where feasible, programs will be developed for additional products for which certification isdesire
36、d by producers, consumers, or other interests. In performing its functions in accordance with itsobjectives, CSA does not assume or undertake to discharge any responsibility of the manufacturer or anyother party. Scope1.1This Standard
45、 applies to luminaires, traditionally known as dusk-to-dawn luminaires or area securitylights, for use in non-hazardous locations that are intended for installation outdoors on branch circuits of600 V nominal or less between conductors in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Typical
46、 luminaires are shown in Figure 1.1.2This Standard covers the performance criteria of the luminaires. 1.3The light sources that are used in the luminaires and covered in the Standard are metal halide, highpressure sodium, low pressure sodium, and mercury vapour lamps. 2. DefinitionsThe following def
