They can only be offered as an addition to the basic services. The capabilities to support supplementary servic
6、es can be implemented in the network nodes, in specialised service centers or in terminals. The operation of supplementary services should always be consistent with basic services and other supple- mentary services characteristics. The definition and description of individual supplementary services
7、are given in Recommendations T/SF 3 1-05, T/SF 31-06 and T/SF 31-07. The description method of supplementary services is given in Recommendation T/GSI O 1-07. General Service aspects are described in Recommendation T/GSI 02-01. The definition of teleservices is given in Recommendation T/GSI 02-03. T
8、he definition of attributes and possible attribute values is given in Recommendation T/GSI 01-03. 2. SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICES TO TELESERVICES MATRIX For those supplementary services which will be offered during phase 1 and phase 2 of the ISDN implementa- tion, the association with the individual teles
9、ervices is contained in Annex 1. A provisional association of other supplementary services with the individual teleservices is shown in Appendix 1. This appendix needs to be completed when the supplementary services are described. Note 1. The following symbols have been used in Annex 1 and Appendix
10、I. Where more than one variant of a supplementary service exists the supplementary service family name has been used and allocated a priority of introduction. E: Indicates that the supplementary service is essential, has a high priority for introduction and should be made available internationally.
11、A: Indicates that the supplementary service is identified as additional, has a lower priority for introduction and may be available in some ISDNs. It may also be available internationally. T: Supplementary services in principle may be located in either the network or in the terminal or a combination
12、 of both. The T indicates that a terminal solution is considered to have a high priority (e.g. for the supplementary service Abbreviated Address and Repeat Last Call). Note 2. The sequence of supplementary services listed in the Annex 1 reflects the sequence of introduction as proposed by the Commis

Initially this supplementary service may only be provided in call control messages (service 1, compare Recommendations T/SF 31-05, T/SF 31-06 and T/SF 31-07. Note 4. The implementation of these supplementary services may be foreseen in a late

The call waiting situation may be indicated to multiservice terminals involved in an existing communication which requires human intervention, e. g. a multiservice terminal with an active telephone call may indicate to the user an incoming Teletex call.
