3、nference, Geneva, 1979, the provisions of Nos. 2020,2665 and 3603 of the Radio Regulations, Geneva 1979, that the number and power of broadcasting stations on board ships outside national territorial limits has until now increased continuously, that emissions rom such stations could pose serious thr
4、eats to the safety service, that the harmful interference caused by the above-mentioned stations prevents the reception of broadcasting stations brought into use in accordance with the provisions of the Radio Regulations, and risks disrupting the broadcasting service in the European broadcasting are
5、a, that the European Agreement on the suppression of broadcast emissions from stations outside national territories, signed in Strasbourg on 22 January 1965, makes provision for appropriate steps to be taken to suppress the above stations, recommends 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. that CER Member Administrations ta
6、ke all the requisite steps to prevent the installation of broadcasting stations on board ships or airaaft that affect their respective countries, that each Administration informs the others immediately, by &cular letter, of any new information it may obtain on this subject, that the attention of the
7、 respective Governments and, more especially, that of the authorities capable of intervening in the maritime and aeronautical spheres, be drawn to the unlawful nature of such broadcast emissions, contravening as they do the provisions of the Radio Regulations annexed to the International Telecommuni
8、cation Convention which is the subject of ratification by each country, that Administrations ask their respective Governments to study possible means, direct or indirect, by which the operations of the above-mentioned stations may be prevented or suspended, and, where appropriate, take the necessary
