3、IAN GENEFWL STANDARDS BOARD (CGSB), under whose auspices this standard has been developed is a government agency within the Federal Department of Supply and Services. CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through th? media of standards committees a

4、nd the consensus process. “e standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other users, retailers, governments, educational institutions, technical, professional and trade societies, and research and testing organizations. Any given sta

5、ndard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives. The Ministers Advisory Council on CGSB reviews the results of the consensus process. CGSB has been acgedited by the Standards Council of Canada as a national standards-wriing organization. The standards that it develops

6、and offers as National Standards of Canada conform to the aiteria and procedures established for this purpose by the Standards Council of Canada in addition to standards it publishes as national standards, CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of so

7、urces in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and national standards developed by CGSB are developed in conformance with the policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenane of Standards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and revision at any t

8、ime, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be brought to the notice of the standards committees concerned. Changes to standards are issued either as separate amendment sheets or in IKW editions of standar

9、ds. An up-todate listing of CGSB standards, including details on latest issues and amendments, and ordering instructions, will be found in the CGSB Catalogue, which is published annually and is available without charge upon request. Although the intended primary application of this standard is state

10、d in its Scope, it is important to note that it remains the responsibility of the users of the standard to judge its suitability for their particular purpose. 28、r lighnveight-lined outerwear coats and jackets, with or without hoods, that are intended for wear by little girls and little boys, (CSS regular range, sizes 2 to 6X), girls (CSS regular range, sizes 7 to 16) and boys (CSS regular range, sizes 7 to 20). REQUIREMENTS When measured in accordance with the defmitions applicable to Tables 2a, 2b and 2c, the garment shall conform to the dimensional requirements of this table. Unless otherwise specified, the gannent shall be measured with the f

31、abric smooth and fuliy extended without tension. DEFINITIONS A dimension is a measurable distance, whereas a measurement is a number (in some suitable units) indicating the magnitude of the dimension measured. The following terms are defmed on the fold-out sheet: size indicator body dimensions, crit

32、ical and minimum garment dimensions and reference body dimensions. Also included are the definitions applicable to the headings of the garment and reference body dimensions tables. SIZE MARKING AND LABELLING Examples of size marking and labelling are contained in CANKGSB49.6-M. The designation of si

33、ze is to be indicated by the appropnate size indicator body measurements or size code or both. NOTES Application of Garment Dimensions - Before this standard is used as a basis for a manufacturers pattern, it should be decided whether any of the minimum measurements of the dimensions in Tables 2a, 2

34、b and 2c should be exceeded because of style considerations.
