19、ments for extra heavy wall (XW) reinforced thermosetting resin conduit (RTRC) and fittings1Scope1.1 Objective1.1.1This Standard contains requirements for reinforced thermosetting resin conduit (RTRC) of the extra heavy wall type (XW) in trade sizes 3/4-6 (metric designators 21-155).1.1.2Products cov

20、ered by this Standard are intended to be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I and General Requirements Canadian Electrical Code, Part II, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 0.1.1.3The requirements in this Standard supplement the requirements contained in CSA C22.2 No. 2515.1.2 Terminolog

21、yIn this Standard “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfy in order to comply with the standard; “should” is used to express a recommendation or that which is advised but not required; and “may” is used to express an option or that which is perm

26、ith Clause 4.1 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515.3.2 Conduit with an integral belled endThe dimensions of conduit with an integral coupling on one end shall be in accordance with Tables 1 and 2. They shall also meet the requirements of Clause 5.7 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515.3.3 CouplingsCouplings shall be straight wi

27、th belled ends or 5 degree angle couplings. Dimensions of couplings shall be in accordance with Tables 3 and 4. Couplings shall also meet the requirements of Clause 5.7 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515.4Tests4.1 General XW conduit and fittings shall comply with the applicable requirements of Clause 5 of CSA C2

28、2.2 No. 2515, except as detailed in Clauses 4.2 and 4.3.4.2 Compression for type XW conduitXW conduit shall be tested in accordance with Clause 5.2 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515, except that a force of 8900 N (2000 lb) shall be used for all sizes. The internal diameter of XW conduit shall not decrease by mo

29、re than 25% during application of the force, and the conduit shall show no evidence of cracking or buckling after removal from the compression machine when examined with normal or corrected to normal vision.4.3 Impact resistance for type XW conduitXW conduit shall be tested in accordance with Clause

30、 5.4 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515, except that(a)the impact tup shall have a weight of 34.1 kg and a diameter of 150 mm;(b) the impact energy shall be as specified in Table 5; and(c) testing and sample conditioning shall be performed at a temperature of 23 2 C. 2013 CSA GroupSupplemental requirements for e

Additional markings may be used if they do not conflict with the markings described in Clauses 5.2 and

32、5.3, and comply with Clause 4.1 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515.5.2The outer surface of every straight length of conduit, and every elbow and other bend made from and for use with such conduit, shall be marked in accordance with Clause 6.2 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515, with the following exceptions:(a) “XW” to repla

33、ce “SW” or “HW” marking; and(b) “IPS” or “ID” marking is optional.5.3The outer surfaces of conduit and elbows, fittings, and conduit bodies that are intended for wetting by reagents per Clause 5.6 of CSA C22.2 No. 2515 shall be marked “RESISTANT TO THE FOLLOWING REAGENTS (followed by the name of the
