、for electrical equipment, and components such as gratings, brackets, and protective insulation. 1 Scope 1.1 This standard deals with the installation of electrical supply systems (i.e. power and communications systems) in buildings rated for voltages up to 36 kV. It also applies to such systems that
、 are installed outside buildings but are supplied with power from within. 1.2 This standard does not cover the equipment as such. 1.3 DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18382 shall take precedence. 2 Materia
、ls and components No specifications are required supplementary to those given in DIN 18299, clause 2. 3 Execution of work The specifications of DIN 18299, clause 3 shall be supplemented as follows. 3.1 General 3.1.1 Workmanship shall be in accordance with, in particular: the standards of the DIN VDE
、 01 series (electrical installations), and the standards of the DIN VDE 08 series (information technology), or the relevant European Standards replacing individual standards in this series, and the technical provisions of the utilities. 3.1.2 The components of the system shall be so coordinated in t
、erms of performance that the required output is achieved and the system can be operated safely on an economical and cost-effective basis. 3.1.3 Prior to commencement of installation work, the contractor shall provide the client with all information required for the efficient installation and proper
、operation of the system. On the basis of the planning documentation and calculations supplied by the client, the contractor shall prepare and submit the required assembly and DIN 18382:2016-09 6 workshop drawings, coordinating these where necessary with the client. This applies in particular to: cir
、cuit diagrams, input/output flag reference plans including addressing, trunking system diagrams, parts lists, terminal connection plans, functional descriptions. The documents pertaining to the execution of the work (see VOB/B (DIN 1961), 3, clause 1) to be supplied by the client include: overview d
、iagrams, system diagrams, flow charts or descriptions, as-built drawings, plans for chasing and openings, details of current consumption of electrical components or appliances provided by the client. 3.1.4 When examining the planning documentation and calculations supplied by the client (see VOB/B (
、DIN 1961), 3, clause 3) from the aspect of design and function of the system, the contractor shall give particular attention to the completeness of the documentation. 3.1.5 Reservations according to VOB/B (DIN 1961), 4, clause 3 could involve in particular the following: any discrepancies in the pla
、nning documentation and calculations supplied by the client (see VOB/B (DIN 1961), 3, clause 3), any evident defects in construction or delays in completion or lack of chases, openings etc., any insufficient space to install electrical components. 3.1.6 The contractor shall prepare all the operating
、 and maintenance instructions and as-built drawings required for the safe and economical operation of the system. He shall supply the client with these and individual project data. 3.1.7 Prior to commissioning of the system, the contractor shall inspect it for its fitness for service and for complia
、nce with the relevant DIN Standards. The results of the inspection shall be recorded and a copy of the report submitted to the client prior to acceptance of the system by the client. DIN 18382:2016-09 7 3.1.8 The operating and maintenance staff responsible for the system shall be instructed once by
、the contractor in the nature of their duties. This instruction is to include information on the type and scope of maintenance work. 3.2 Mounting of cable and wiring systems 3.2.1 Extra lengths to enable proper cable and wiring connections shall be provided. 3.2.2 Conduits shall be laid without draw-
、wires. 3.2.3 Gypsum plaster is not to be used to fix cables, wiring, etc. where these are in contact with mortar containing cement, neither should it be used in wet rooms or outdoors. 3.2.4 Any mortising, cutting and drilling work on the structure shall only be carried out with the consent of the cl
、ient. When such work is carried out on masonry, the specifications of DIN EN 1996-1-1, DIN EN 1996-1-1/NA, DIN EN 1996-2, DIN EN 1996-2/NA, DIN EN 1996-3 and DIN EN 1996-3/NA shall be taken into account. 4 Associated tasks and special tasks 4.1 In addition to those specified in DIN 18299, subclause
