Valid certificates issued in accordance with DVS 2718 maintain their validity even after publication of DIN 2303. Any prolongations or new cert
11、ificates shall be in accordance with the present standard. Introduction Military products must meet high quality standards in production and maintenance because of the static and dynamic loads to which they are subjected, their range of operation, the increased safety requirements placed on such pro
12、ducts, and the substantial need for reliability. As defined by this standard, welding, brazing and thermal spraying are considered to be special processes. The quality requirements of the products cannot sufficiently be proved later on. The DIN EN ISO 3834 series is to be applied to the above-mentio
13、ned processes by analogy. 3 DIN 2303:2007-02 1 Scope This standard specifies minimum requirements for quality assurance systems and describes a method of qualifying manufacturers of military products. The standard applies to military agencies as well as civilian companies that carry out welding, bra
14、zing and thermal spraying on military products. It does not apply to commercially available products that can be used in both civilian and military applications without significant modifications being made. Additional requirements apply to NATO contracts, e.g. as specified in AQAP 2110. 2 Normative

The correlation between the manufacturer qualification, DIN
39、EN ISO 3834 and this standard is described in Table 1. Proof of manufacturers qualification does not absolve the company from its duty of care nor from the technical responsibility for the work it carries out. The manufacturer qualification is awarded by an approved body. The qualification is classe
40、d according to military product type, as shown in Table 1. Class Q 2or Q 3 qualifications include the qualification for Class Q 1.
