Amendments This standard differs from DIN 5406:1993-02 as follows: a) the standard has been editorially revised; b) information on masses has been deleted from Tables 1 and 2; c) types have been added by analogy with ISO 298
8、2-2; d) symbols have been largely brought into line with ISO 2982-2; e) further information on design has been added; f) the normative references have been updated. This standard contains the following corrections to DIN 5406:2009-05: a) The shaft groove width b3and the associated width of inner tab

Locking devices in accordance with this s

The screw material shall be at the manufacturers discretion. 6 Design The following tolerances shall apply for lockwashers: a) Bore diameter, d1: Tolerance zone C11; b) External diameter, d2: Tolerance zone js17; c) Root diameter of outer tab, d
34、3: Tolerance zone h13; d) Tab widths, b1and b2: Tolerance zone a15; e) Clear width, M: Tolerance zone C11; f) Material thickness, s: Table 1 gives preferred values; minor deviations are permitted; g) Workpiece outer edges: Burrs are not permitted, “(-)” according to DIN ISO 13715. The following tole
35、rances shall apply for locking clips: a) Clip width, b1: Tolerance zone a15; b) Clip height, h1: Tolerance zone js16; c) Inner width, e: Tolerance zone H13; d) Diameter of hole in locking clip, d5: Tolerance 0,5 mm; e) Material thickness, s: Table 2 gives preferred values; minor deviations are permi

38、Annex A (informative) Explanatory notes Lockwashers according to this standard largely conform to ISO 2982-2. This standard differs from ISO 2982-2:2001 in the following aspects: a) Tables 1 and 2 of this standard only show dimensions for the locking elements of locknuts according to DIN 981. b) Thi
39、s standard also includes the symbols for the locking elements that have been successfully used in practice. c) The dimensions for the relevant locknuts are given in a separate standard (see DIN 981); only the designation of the matching locknuts is included in the tables. d) This standard also conta
