This document identifies characteristics and technical requirements for single and combination taps. 6DIN EN 200:2008-10 EN 200:2008 (E) 1 Scope This European Standard specifies: a) the field of application for pill
25、ar taps, bib taps, single and multi-hole combination taps for use in: 1) a supply system of Type 1 (see Figure 1); 2) a supply system of Type 2 (see Figure 2); b) the dimensional, leaktightness, pressure resistance, hydraulic performance, mechanical strength, endurance and acoustic characteristics o
26、f nominal size and single taps and combination taps; c) test methods to verify the characteristics. The tests described in this European Standard are type tests (laboratory tests) and not quality control tests carried out during manufacture. This European Standard applies to draw-off taps (single ta
27、ps and combination taps) for use with sanitary appliances installed in rooms used for bodily hygiene (cloakrooms, bathrooms etc.) and in kitchens, i.e. for use with baths, wash basins, bidets, showers and sinks. Figure 1 shows a supply system of Type 1 with a pressure range of (0,05 to 1,0) Mpa (0,5
28、 to 10) bar. Figure 2 shows a supply system of Type 2 with a pressure range of (0,01 to 1,0) Mpa (0,1 to 10) bar. This European Standard applies to sanitary draw-off taps of nominal size and (PN 10). The conditions of use and classifications are given in Table 1. The Table 2 gives the performance ch

The manufacturers literature including the installation instructions supplied with the tapware shall indicate clearly that the tapware is for special applications. 6.6 Flexible hoses for show
33、er outlets Requirements for flexible hoses for shower outlets shall be as specified in EN 1113. 6.7 Shower outlets Requirements for Shower outlets shall be as specified in EN 1112. 7 Sequence of testing The samples shall be subjected to the test sequence shown in Table 7. 24DIN EN 200:2008-10 EN 200

35、which may be different from the two mentioned above. 8 Leaktightness characteristics 8.1 General This clause describes the test methods that shall be carried out to verify the leaktightness of the complete tap and specifies the corresponding requirements (see Table 8). 8.2 Test methods 8.2.1 Princip
36、le The principle of the test consists of checking under cold water pressure the leaktightness of: the obturator (see 8.3); the complete tap (see 8.4); the bath/shower diverter (either manual or with automatic return) (see 8.5, 8.6 and 8.7). In the case of a diverter with automatic return being consi
37、dered to provide backflow prevention, it shall comply with the requirements of EN 14506 8.2.2 Apparatus A hydraulic test circuit, capable of supplying the required pressures and of maintaining them throughout the duration of the tests. A hydraulic test circuit, capable of supplying gradually the req
38、uired static and dynamic pressures and of maintaining them throughout the duration of the test. 8.3 Leaktightness of the obturator and of the tap upstream of the obturator(s) with the obturator in the closed position 8.3.1 Procedure a) Connect the tap to the test circuit; b) with the outlet orifice
39、open, and generally turned downwards, close the obturator(s) using a torque of (1,5 0,15) Nm for nominal size and (2,5 0,25) Nm for nominal size ; if a stuffing box is used to ensure leaktightness of the headwork, the packing gland shall be loosened before application of the closing torque; c) apply
40、 to the inlet of the tap a water pressure of (1,6 0,05) MPa (16,0 0,5) bar and maintain it for (60 5) s. 25DIN EN 200:2008-10 EN 200:2008 (E) 8.3.2 Requirements Verification of leaktightness upstream of the obturator: throughout the duration of the test there shall be no leakage or seepage through t
41、he walls. Verification of leaktightness of the obturator: throughout the duration of the test there shall be no leakage of the obturator, i.e. at the outlet. 8.4 Leaktightness of the tap downstream of the obturator(s) with the obturator open 8.4.1 General Not applicable when the outlet cannot be clo
42、sed. 8.4.2 Procedure a) Connect the tap to the test circuit; b) if a stuffing box is used to ensure leaktightness of the headwork, ensure that the packing gland is tightened in accordance with the manufacturers instructions; c) with the outlet orifice(s) artificially closed, and generally turned dow
43、nwards open the obturator(s); d) apply to the inlet of the tap a water pressure of (0,4 0,02) MPa (4,0 0,2) bar and maintain it for (60 5) s; e) gradually reduce the pressure to (0,02 0,002) MPa (0,2 0,02) bar and maintain it for (60 5) s. 8.4.3 Requirement Throughout the duration of the test there
44、shall be no leakage, or seepage through the walls. 8.5 Leaktightness of manually operated diverter 8.5.1 Procedure: flow to bath a) Connect the tap, in its normal position of use, to the test circuit; b) put the diverter in the flow-to-bath mode, the outlet to bath being artificially closed and the
45、outlet to shower open; c) apply a static water pressure of (0,4 0,02) Mpa (4,0 0,2) bar and maintain it for (60 5) s; d) gradually reduce the pressure to (0,02 0,002) Mpa (0,2 0,02) bar and maintain it for (60 5) s; e) check for leakage at the outlet to shower. 8.5.2 Requirement: flow to bath There
