Soldering fluxes covered by this standard are not classified according to the corrosive action
7、 of the flux residue, but according to their main chemical ingredients (see Table 1). It is not possible to identify a particular soldering flux which will be suitable for use with all base metals, soldering alloys and soldering processes. The properties and chemical composition of the flux are ther
8、efore to be adapted. The specifications given in this document are intended to facilitate the selection of fluxes for particular applications. Subject to agreement between purchaser and supplier, soft soldering fluxes may be tested in accordance with the “Guidance for the use of test methods” given
9、in ISO 9455-1 to ISO 9455-16 (see Table B.1). 37、inations from the solder and surfaces of the parts during soldering. Fluxes also protect surfaces from oxidation an assist wetting of the basis metals by molten solder.Care is necessary when selecting a flux for a particular application, in order to ensure an adequate service life of the assembly Fa
