5、word This document (EN ISO 9454-1:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 “Welding and allied processes”, Subcommittee SC 12 “Soldering materials” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied processes” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German

6、body involved in its preparation was DIN-Normenausschuss Schweien und verwandte Verfahren (DIN Standards Committee Welding and Allied Processes), Working Committee NA 092-00-08 AA Weichlten (DVS AG V 6.2). Soldering fluxes covered by this standard are not classified according to the corrosive action

7、 of the flux residue, but according to their main chemical ingredients (see Table 1). It is not possible to identify a particular soldering flux which will be suitable for use with all base metals, soldering alloys and soldering processes. The properties and chemical composition of the flux are ther

8、efore to be adapted. The specifications given in this document are intended to facilitate the selection of fluxes for particular applications. Subject to agreement between purchaser and supplier, soft soldering fluxes may be tested in accordance with the “Guidance for the use of test methods” given

9、in ISO 9455-1 to ISO 9455-16 (see Table B.1). 37、inations from the solder and surfaces of the parts during soldering. Fluxes also protect surfaces from oxidation an assist wetting of the basis metals by molten solder.Care is necessary when selecting a flux for a particular application, in order to ensure an adequate service life of the assembly Fa

38、ctors such as the ease of residue removal, corrosiveness, possible health and safety hazards and the efficacy of the flux should all be considered.DIN EN ISO 9454-1:2016-07 EN ISO 9454 1:2016 (E)-5 WARNING This part of ISO 94541 deals with products which might be hazardous to health, or which might

39、cause other hazards such as corrosion, fire, etc., if adequate precautions are not taken. It refers only to the technical suitability of substances and in no way absolves the testing laboratory, the supplier, or the user from legal obligations relating to health and safety at any stage of flux manuf

40、acture or use.1 ScopeThis part of ISO 9454-1 specifies a coding system for the classification of fluxes intended for use with soft solders, according to their active fluxing ingredients, together with requirements for labelling and packaging.2 Classification of fluxesFluxes specified in this part IS
