SCOPE. This commercial item desc
2、ription covers the requirements for mens boxer-style drawers. intended for use by male personnel of the Department of Defense. The drawers are 2. CLASSIFICATION 2.1 The drawers shall be in the following types: Type I - Cotton, muslin cloth Type II - Polyester and cotton, white Class 1 White Class 2
3、Brown 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 3.1 The type I drawers shall be made from cotton, muslin cloth; the type II drawers shall be made from polyester and cotton cloth. The white drawers shall be bleached white in accordance with good commercial practices. shall be dyed Brown 436 in accordance with good

The elastic shall be attached to the drawers with no less than 4 rows of stitching. The joining seams for
7、the back panel and the crotch seam shall be double lapped with two rows of stitching. The leg bottoms shall be hemmed, and there shall be a horizontal bartack at the bottom of the fly opening through all plies. The cotton thread for seaming and stitching the drawers shall conform to the requirements
8、 of type I, ticket number 50, 3-ply, and ticket number 70, 2-ply, of A-A-52094. As an alternate, a polyester-core, polyester or cotton-covered thread conforming to ticket number 100, 2-ply, of A-A-50199 may be used. The color of the thread shall approximate the shade of the basic material. As an alt

A combination identification, care and size label shall be attached on the inside center of the back elastic just below the top edge of the waistband. 3.4 Label/taq. Each item shall be individually bar-coded with a paper tag for personal clothing ite
20、ms. shall be standard bleached sulfate having a basis weight of 100 pounds. The paper used for the tags shall have a smooth finish to accept thermal transfer and direct printing. The tags shall have a hole and shall be attached to each item by a fastener, clearly legible and readable by a scanner. e

23、ain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this commercial item description; conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices; and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace.
