SCOPE. This commercial item description cove
2、rs one type of flyers helmet carrying bag. The bag is intended for use by aviation personnel of the Department of Defense and is designed to hold the flyers helmet and auxiliary equipment. 2. SALIENT CHARJACTERISTICS * 2.1 Description. The Flyers Helmet bag shall have a finished measurement of 20 x
3、19-1/4 inches and consist of an outer panel with a liner. The bag shall have two (10-1/4 x 6-3/4 inches) inner pockets, one at each end of the liner, and two (14 x 9-1/2 inches) outer pockets on the front of the bag. The bag shall have matching grip handles on the front and back, with a slide fasten
4、er for closing the bag, and nylon tape fastener and snap fasteners for closing the outer pockets (see Figure 1). 2.2 Cloth, nylon. The plain weave, nylon cloth for the outer and inner panel, outer pockets, protector flap, grip handle reinforcements, and grip handle panels shall be a durable water- r
5、epellent-treated cloth: sq./%yd.; breaking strength shall be warp (275 lbs. min.) and filling (225 lbs. min.); air permeability shall be 2.0 ft./min./ft. The color shall be shade Camouflage Green CG-483, and show good to better fastness to laundering, weathering and crocking. The weight shall be 3.8

18、ed; any spot or stain (outside); thread ends not removed; label dssing, incorrect, or illegible; measurement of item not as specified; exposed drill holes on nylon cloth; nylon webbing not firmly and tightly woven, or edges frayed or scalloped; general hardware (snap fasteners, slide fasteners and s
19、nap hooks) not functioning properly, (i.e., fails to provide a secure closure or to open freely, or not of a specified type or size.); webbing ends not fused; open seams more than 1/2 inch; wrong seam or stitch type; three or more stitches per inch less than minimum specified; any seam excessively ,
20、pleated or puckered; any stitching row omitted, except on double 2W“ stitch pattern; two or more rows omitted on double “W“ stitch-pattern; bartack stitching loose, incomplete or broken or bartack omitted; one or more box stitches missing, loose or not size specified; Sag liner not stitched to bag a
