Scope. The suspenders are designed
2、for use with the individual equipment belt on which aresuspended items of field equipment such as water canteen, ammunition cases, and other itemsrequired by the soldier in the field. The suspenders come in one size only and are intended to fitindividuals of all size ranges.2. Salient Characteristic
3、s. The cloth for the pad cover shall he Camouflage (Green 483, waterrepellent, nylon cloth. The spacer cloth for the pad shall be medium density polyethylene, 15.0 ozsq./yd min) or polyethylene or polypropylene yarn 8.25 oz sq. yd (min), color optional. Thewebbing shall be nylon, 2-1/4 inches wide,
4、dyed Camouflage Green 483 and resin impregnated forthe shoulder straps and back support piece. The front keeper strap webbing, shall be elastic, dyedCamouflage Green 483. Ends of the webbing; including bias cuts; shall be fused smooth. Fusing ofthe webbing ends shall be accomplished prior to assembl
5、ing for stitching. The apparatus used tofuse the webbing ends shall be capable of providing sufficient heat to provide a smooth edge withthe cut ends of the webbing yarns all fused together. The polyester thread for a11 stitching shallbe twisted soft multiple cord, normal elongation, general purpose
6、 or nonwicking finish. Colorshall be Camouflage (Green 483 and shall show fastness to weathering equal to or better than thestandard sample. When no standard sample is available, thread shall show good fastness toweathering. Sizes shall be E for bartacking and F for all stitching except bartacking.B

The cloth for the marking shall be impregnatedand coated with a permanent acrylic composition.3. Marking3.1 “US” Epithet. The letters “US” shall be app
10、lied in the size characters and in the locationindicated in figure 1. The method of application may be direct printing, stamping or stenciling.The marking medium shall be black and colorfast. The initial print shall be well defined, clearlylegible, and shall not show smearing, bleeding, or offsettin
11、g and shall not show objectionablestrike-through of the cloth to which it is applied.3.2 Identification Identification markings shall be centrally located on one of the padcovers. The identification marking shall contain the item nomenclature, contract number, nationalstock number and contractors na
12、me. The letters shall be ” high. The method of applicationand medium requirements shall be the same as for the “US” epithet.3.3 Label/Tag. Each item shall be individually bar-coded with a paper tag. The paper tagshall be standard bleach sulfate having a basis weight of 100 pounds. The paper used for
13、 the tagsshall have a smooth finish too accept thermal transfer and direct printing. The tags shall have ahole and shall be attached to each item by a fastener, clearly legible and readable by scanner. Thebar coding element shall be a 13 digit national stock number (NSN). The bar code type shall be
14、amedium to high code density and shall be located so that it is completely visible on the item whenit is folded and/or packaged as specified and so that it causes no damage to the item.4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recoveredmaterials to the maximum extent pr
15、acticable in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the FederalAcquisition Regulation (FAR).5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS5.1 Certification. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of thisCommercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards
16、and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercialmarket place. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior tofirst delivery and thereafter, as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of thecontract, reliance on con
17、tractor QA systems shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility ofensuring that all products or supplies submitted to the government for acceptance comply with allrequirements of the contract.5.2 Product Demonstration Model, When required, offerers shall submit samples of theirintended pro
18、duction. The Product Demonstration Model will consist of units independentlydeveloped. 19、sis for award are contained in the solicitation, Product DemonstrationModels will be retained by the government. One (l) Product Demonstration Mode1 approved byDSCP under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the correspondingproduction items delivered under this contract

Offerers are advised that the ProductDemonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform inaccordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above.5.3 Examination. 21、es f or Inspection by Attributes, ANSI/ASQC Z1.4, published by theAmerican Society for Quality Control and shall be inspected for the defects listed below:5.3.1 Defects. The suspenders shall be inspected for the following defects: Any hole, cut,tear, smash, broken or missing yarn or open place; colo
22、r not as specified; any spot or stainoutside; thread ends not removed; measurement of item not as specified. Webbing, nylon orelastic with a hole, cut tear, or smash; not firmly and tightly woven, edges frayed or scalloped(nylon); multiple floats or other misweave; abrasion mark, slub, or broken end
23、 or pick; cut endsnot fused as specified. Hardware broken or malformed failing to serve intended purpose, corrodedarea, burr or sharp edge; finish omitted or not as specified; area of no finish, not assembled asspecified; not specified style, type or size. Any open seam 1/2 inch or more. Any compone
24、nt partomitted or not as specified. Front straps not positioned through 1-inch non-slip buckle and elastickeeper as indicated in figure 1. “ US” and identification markings omitted, incorrect, illegible, ormisplaced. Bar code omitted or not readable by scanner, human-readable interpretation (HRI)omi
25、tted or illegible; bar code not visible on folded, packaged item, bar code causes damage to theitem; any items not packaged in accordance with the contract or purchase area.
