3、nistration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers technical grade chromium trioxide, Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number (CAS#) 1333-82-0. 2. CLASSIFICATION. The chromium trioxide shall confor
4、m to the following types (see 7.3.b): Type I Flake Type II - Crystalline 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. When tested using the methods and procedures described in the American Chemical Society (ACS) “Reagent Chemicals: Specifications and Procedures” (ACS 86-20569), the chromium trioxide shall meet the c
5、hemical requirements specified in table I. For type I, flake chromium trioxide, no more than 30 percent (by weight) shall pass through 600 m (No. 30) sieve conforming to ASTM E11. For type II, crystalline chromium trioxide, no more than 30 percent (by weight) shall pass through 420 m (No. 40) sieve

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. 4.1 Recycled
7、 recovered or environmentally preferable materials. Items shall be labeled, packed and marked in accordance with Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), parts 100 to 199. 4.2 Material safety data sheet. Manufacturers shall prepare and submit a material safety data sheet (MSDS) in accordance wit
8、h FED-STD-313. 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offere
9、d for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 Market acceptability. The item offered must have been sold to the government or commercial market. 6. PACKAGING. For acquisition purposes, the chromium trioxide shall be preserved, packed
