SCOPE 1.1 Scope.- This specification covers metal strap fa
2、stener loops to be used on nonequipage items. * 1.2 Classification.- Strap fastener loops shall be of the following types and sizes, as specified (see 6.2): TypeV - Drilled. Size - 1-1/4 inch. Size - 1-1/2 inch. Size - 3 inch. Type VI - Undrilled. Size - 1-1/4 inch. Size - 1-1/2 inch. Size - 3 inch.

10、ve the supplier of responsibility for compliance with all provisions of this specification. The preproduction sample shall be manufactured in the same facilities to be used for the manu- facture of the production items. The approval of the preproduction sample authorizes the 3.2 Materials.- Material
11、s shall conform to the applicable specifications and requirements specified herein. 3.2.1 Steel wire.- The steel wire shall conform to composition 1006, 100 or 1015, finish 1 of QQ-W-461. 3.2.2 Steel bar.- The steel bar shall be cold finished conforinhg to composi- tion 1010-1015 of QQ-S-634. 3.2.3
12、Enamel, olive drab.- The olive drab enamel shall conform to class B of TT-E-529, color number x24O87 of Fed. Std. No. 595. 3.3 Construction.- The strap fastener loops shall be stamped from steel wire specified in 3.2.1 or forged from steel bar specified in 3.2.2 and shall conform to the design, shap
13、e and dimensions shown on Drawings 4-3-205 and 4-1-434, as applicable, and as specified herein. * 3.4 Finish.- The strap fastener loops shall be given a phosphate treated zinc plate conforming to type III, class 2 of QQ-2-325, followed by bake- enameling. The enamel shall conform to 3.2.3 or 3.2.4 a
14、s specified (see 6.2). The coating shall level out to a uniform dry thickness, without orange peel, wrimes, drops, streaks, or areas of no film. the manufacturers identification. * 3.6 Workmanship . - All surfaces. shall be free from burrs , fins, rough spots J and sharp edges. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE
15、PROVISIONS * 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements asspecified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may utilize his own facilities or any commerc
16、ial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to erform.any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such .inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 19、le purchase document . * 4,3.2 In-process inspection.- 4.3.2.1 In-process examination. - Examination chai1 be conducted to see that the loops, are phosphate treated, zinc plated as specified in 3.4, in conformance with QQ-Z-325. Whenever non-conformance is noted, correction shall be made to affected
20、 items and lot in-process. * 4.3.3 End item inspection.- The lot shall be all loops of one type and size offered for inspection at one time. shall be one loop. The sample unit for this examination 4.3.3.1 Visual examination.- Examination shail be made of the finished loops for defects in table I. ac
21、ceptable quality level (A class II of PPP-B-591; overseas type of PPP-B-601; chss 2 of FPP-B-576; style 1, 2, or 2A, class 3 use, type 2 load of PPP-B-585; or class 2, style 2 or 4 of PPP-B-621. be waterproofed with tape in accordance with the appendix of the container specification. N(TPES - 6.1 Intended use.- Strap fastener loops covered by this specification are intended to be used on
