This European Standard shall be given the status of a nationa

15、l standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2004, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2004. This document supersedes EN 1116:1995. According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national stand

EN 1116:2004 (E) 4 1 Scope This European Standard contains co-ordinating sizes for kitchen furniture including worktops as well as for kitchen appliances, sinks and decorative panels. For convenience, in this standard the terms “furnit

18、ure“ and “appliance“ are used for “kitchen furniture“ and “kitchen appliance“. It defines dimensions for the height, the width, the depth and the space to enable furniture, appliances, sinks and decorative panels to fit together as elements of kitchen equipment. This European Standard does not apply

19、 to catering equipment. 2 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this European Standard, the following terms and definitions apply. 2.1 working height vertical distance between the floor and the top of the worktop (see Figure 1, h 1 ) 2.2 height of floor unit and built-under appliance vertical cl

20、ear distance from the floor to the underside of the worktop (see Figure 1, h 2 ) NOTE The minimum distance between worktop and the underside of the wall hanging cabinet is not specified. 2.3 depth of worktop horizontal distance between the front and the rear edge of the worktop (see Figure 2, l 1 )

21、2.4 depth of worktop overhang horizontal distance between the front of the unit/appliance and the vertical line from the front edge of the worktop (see Figure 2, l 2 ) 2.5 depth of floor unit and built-under appliance horizontal distance between the front surface, including doors and drawer fronts b

22、ut excluding any protruding elements such as handles, and the rear of the unit/appliance (see Figure 2, l 3and Figure 3, l 3 , l 4 ) 2.6 appliance/furniture space open space formed by furniture and/or appliances into which appliances or furniture may be inserted 2.7 opening for appliance opening or

23、cut-out in a unit or a worktop which is intended for the installation of a built-in appliance or sink 2.8 decorative panel component intended by its size, material and colouring to adapt a built-in or built-under appliance to match the frontal design of the adjacent kitchen furniture 2.9 height of d

24、ecorative panel vertical dimension of the decorative panel including the clamping frame; see Figure 5 if used EN 1116:2004 (E) 5 2.10 width of decorative panel horizontal dimension of the decorative panel including the clamping frame; see Figure 5 if used 2.11 thickness of decorative panel horizonta

25、l dimension of the decorative panel when it is measured at right angles to the front face of the appliance. Where clamping frames are used, a distinction is made between the clamping thickness, t 1 , and the overall thickness, t 2(see Figure 5). 3 Co-ordinating sizes for kitchen furniture and kitche

26、n appliances 3.1 General Only plus deviations are admissible for the width and the height of an appliance/furniture opening or space. Only minus deviations are admissible for the external width and the height of accessories and appliances. 3.2 Height 3.2.1 Working height The working height, (see Fig

27、ure 1, h 1 ) shall be one of the following reference heights in millimetres: 800 50 0 + ; 850 50 0 + ; 900 50 0 + ; 950 50 0 + . For a built-in hob/platform in a worktop, the clear height measured vertically downwards from the top surface of the worktop, shall be not less than 30 mm. NOTE 1 The purp

28、ose of specifying a series of dimensions for the working height is to allow adaption of the working height to the requirements of the individual user (different body height, different functional heights of appliances). NOTE 2 A lower working height may be required. This can be achieved by fixing the

29、 working height in steps of 50 mm or making it adjustable. 3.2.2 Floor unit and built-under appliance The co-ordinating dimension for the height of a floor unit or a built-under appliance, (see Figure 1, h 2 ) shall be at least one of the following heights in millimetres or adjustable (see also Note

30、 2, clause 3.2.1): 770; 820; 870; 920. EN 1116:2004 (E) 6 Figure 1 Heights of furniture/appliance (side view) 3.3 Depth 3.3.1 Worktop The depth of a worktop, l 1 , including edging and wall attachment, shall be not less than 600 mm (see Figure 2). NOTE The depth of the worktop overhang, l 2, should

31、not exceed 30 mm (see Figure 2). 3.3.2 Floor unit and built-under appliance The depth of a floor unit or a built-under appliance, l 3 , shall not exceed the depth of the worktop (see Figures 2 and Figure 3). NOTE In 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 only those depths are specified which are necessary for relating siz

32、es of units and worktops to sizes of appliances. In situations where co-ordination between appliances and furniture is not needed, other depths may be used. 3.3.3 Wall unit The depth of a wall unit, l 4 , shall not exceed 400 mm (see Figures 2 and Figure 3). NOTE In practice, the size 450 mm is also used. EN 1116:2004 (E) 8 4

34、 Co-ordinating sizes for appliances openings 4.1 Opening in a unit 4.1.1 Height The height of the opening for an appliance shall be related to the width of the unit in accordance with Table 1. In addition, the heights of 330 mm, 360 mm and 420 mm are intended to be related to the depth of 310 mm. 4.1.2 Depth The depth of an opening for an appliance in a tall unit or a floor unit, in both cases excluding any front element such as doors or fittings, s

37、hall not be less than 550 mm. The depth of an opening for an appliance in a wall unit, excluding any front element such as doors or fittings, shall not be less than 310 mm. EN 1116:2004 (E) 9 4.1.3 Width The width of an opening for an appliance, w 1 , and the overall width of an appliance front, w 2

38、 , shall be related to the width of the furniture w 3 in accordance with Table 2 (see Figure 4). 40、ition and the sizes of an opening in a worktop for an appliance or a sink and the distances of edges of the opening from any adjacent vertical surfaces shall be in accordance with the appliance or sink manufacturers fitting instructions. EN 1116:2004 (E) 10 5 Co-ordinating sizes for decorative panel

41、s The height, the width and the overall thickness, t 2 , of a decorative panel shall be in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. If the decorative panel is fixed by means of a clamped system (clamping frame), the clamping thickness, t 1 , shall not exceed 4 mm (see Figure 5). Key 1 Clampin

The required distances from appliance to furniture/a
