24、encarriedoutsuccessfullyoncompletedeviceswherespecifiedintheappropriate standard.Ifforanyreasonacompletedeviceisnottestedthensimulationofthedeviceispermittedprovided therespiratorycharacteristicsandmassdistributionaresimilartothoseofthecompletedevice.EN403:2004(E) 6 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardrefers
25、tofilteringdeviceswithahoodforpersonalescapefromparticulatematter, carbonmonoxideandothertoxicgasesproducedbyfire.Itspecifiesminimumrequirementsforthisdevice whichisforsingleuse.Itdoesnotcoverdevicesdesignedforuseincircumstanceswherethereisormightbe anoxygendeficiency(oxygenlessthan17%byvolume). 26、typesofdevicesarespecified;namely,thosedesignedtobecarriedonthepersonandthosedesignedto bestored.
