Such fabric can be woven, knitted or nonwoven (e.g. stitch-bound) 4 Requirements Mattress ticking fabrics shall meet the requirements specified in this do
27、cument, when tested in accordance with the corresponding test methods, Table 1 specifies the required identification parameters which shall be provided by the manufacturer. Table 2 specifies basic requirements for mattress ticking. Table 3 lists additional properties that may be claimed for a produc
28、t and specifies the appropriate requirements for these additional properties. 37、l whether the product is washable (optional) care instructions (optional) EN 14976:2005 (E) 8 Annex A (informative) Assessment of roll length in a production environment This procedure describes an alternative method to determine the length of a quantity of mattress ticking fabric in a production en
38、vironment and is suitable for factory production control for all types of mattress ticking. The method makes use of a calibrated length of fabric. In case of doubt, the method described in EN 1773 should always be used for reference. A flat surface of suitable dimensions is needed, e.g. a production
39、 hall. The climatic conditions in the hall should be as close as possible to the standard conditions of temperature (20 C) and relative humidity (65 %). A calibrated rule of suitable length should be used. A roll of steady finished mattress ticking is put on the floor and unrolled. A length of 50 m
40、is immediately marked on the fabric with the aid of the calibrated rule. This length of fabric is used to calibrate the counter on the measuring table. This calibration procedure should be repeated at least once a year. EN 14976:2005 (E) 9 Annex B (informative) Determination of flexing and bias Flex
41、ing/bias are important properties but at present no European or International Standard has been developed to assess these properties.
