20、, characteristics and tolerances as well as galvanizing of anchor chains intended for use with small craft windlasses. 2 Field of application This International Standard applies to anchor chains of nominal diameters between6 and12mm, intended for anchoring small craft and which can be controlled usi

22、e with ISO1834, the size shall be the nominal diameter, d n , of the steel wire or bar from which the chain is made (see theFigure). 27、5 Tolerances The following tolerances shall be applied and maintained after galvanizing: on the nominal diameter: 5% on the pitch: 3% on the measuring length l over11 links: 2% 6 Tests and acceptance Tests and acceptance conditions shall be as specified in ISO1834. The length of the lot from which t
28、he test samples are selected shall be500mm. 7 Preferred length Anchor chains shall be delivered in preferred lengths according toTable 3. Table 3 Preferred lengths of anchor chains Other lengths specified by national authorities or classification societies shall also be considered preferred lengths.
29、 8 Marking 8.1 Quality marking The quality mark for anchor chains according to this International Standard is L or3. It shall be applied as specified in ISO1834. 30、on mark shall be as specified in ISO1834. 9 Test certificate The manufacturer shall, if required, supply a certificate of test and examination with every supply of chain, containing the information detailed in ISO1834. A typical form is given in ISO1834. 10 Designation Anchor chains according to thi
31、s International Standard shall be designated as follows: a) abbreviated name: chain; b) number of this International Standard: ISO 4565; c) quality mark L (or number3); d) nominal diameter; e) nominal pitch.
