Foreword The text of the international Standard IEC 60730-2-10:2006, prepared by IEC TC 72, Automatic controls for household use, was submitted to the formal vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 60730-2-10 on 2007-09-01. Th

13、is European Standard supersedes EN 60730-2-10:1995 + corrigendum March 2001 + A1:1996 + corrigendum March 2001 + A2:2002. The following dates were fixed: latest date by which the EN has to be implemented at national level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2008-

14、09-01 latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2010-09-01 This Part 2-10 is to be used in conjunction with EN 60730-1:2000 + A1:2004, Automatic electrical controls for household and similar use Part 1: General requirements, and any subsequent ame

15、ndments. This Part 2-10 supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses in EN 60730-1 so as to convert that publication into the European Standard: Particular requirements for electrically operated motor-starting relays. Where this Part 2-10 states “addition“, “modification“ or “replacement“, the

16、relevant requirement, test specification or explanatory matter in Part 1 should be adapted accordingly. 23、 controls for automatically controlling the starting windings of single phase motors associated with equipment for household and similar use. This standard applies to motor-starting relays using NTC or PTC thermistors, additional requirements for which are contained in Annex J. 1.1.1 This standard a

24、pplies to the inherent safety, to the operating values, operating times and operating sequences where such are associated with equipment safety, and to the testing of motor-starting relays used in, or in association with, household or similar equipment. Motor-starting relays for equipment not intend

25、ed for normal household use, but which nevertheless may be used by the public, such as equipment intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to motor-starting relays designed exclusively for industrial ap

26、plications. Throughout this standard, the word “equipment“ means “appliance and equipment“. The words “starting relay“ mean “motor-starting relay“. 1.1.2 This standard applies to starting relays incorporating electronic devices and starting relays using thermistor elements, thermal elements and magn

27、etic elements. 1.1.3 This standard does not apply to general purpose relays or to contactors and motor starters of the type covered by the IEC 60947 series1. This standard does not apply to mechanical timers or mechanically operated motor-starting devices. 1.1.4 This standard applies to manual contr

28、ols when such are electrically and/or mechanically integral with starting relays. Requirements for manual switches not forming part of a starting relay are contained in IEC 61058-1. _ 1IEC 60947 (all parts), Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear 4 EN 60730-2-10:20071.2 Replacement: This standard ap

29、plies to starting relays with a rated voltage not exceeding 690 V and with a rated current not exceeding 63 A. 1.3 Replacement: This standard does not take into account the response value of an automatic action of a starting relay, if such a response value is dependent upon the method of mounting th

30、e starting relay in the equipment. Where a response value is of significant purpose for the protection of the user or surroundings, the value defined in the appropriate household equipment standard or as determined by the manufacturer shall apply. 1.4 Replacement: This standard applies also to motor

31、-starting relays incorporating electronic devices, requirements for which are contained in Annex H. 2 Definitions This clause of Part 1 is applicable except as follows: 2.2 Definitions of types of control according to purpose Additional definition: 2.2.101 motor-starting relay electrically operated

32、control intended for integration or incorporation in an appliance and used within a motor circuit to control the connection between the main winding and the auxiliary starting winding for the purpose of starting single-phase motors in household appliances and similar applications Normally, a motor-s
