18、ion of connect nodes assigned to graphical symbols, being a representation of functional and product concepts. Due to the strong interrelation between the product and its corresponding graphical representation, identical classification principles are applied for both the classification of connect no

19、des of products as well as for the classification of networks and their representation by graphical symbols in computer-aided systems. 2 Definitions For the purpose of this part the following definitions apply. 2.1 connect node; port; terminal: Point of access of an object intended for connection. N

20、OTE - The connection may refer to a) or material flow path; a physical interface among conductors and/or contacts, or piping and/or duct systems to provide a signal or energy b) information. an association of functional nature established among logical elements, software modules, etc. for conveying

21、2.2 (schematic) connect node: Location on a graphical symbol intended for connection. NOTES 1 (Schematic) connect nodes represent the terminals of the object of interest 2 a graphical symbol. A (schematic) connect node may not have a graphical shape. It may consist of an imaginary point associated w

22、ith 2.3 connect-node code: Code of the type of connect node associated with an object. 2.4 network code: Code of the type of network interrelating connect nodes. 3 For the purpose of classification of connect nodes the following main classes are defined and encoded as shown below. The class matter (M) may be subclassified as follows: ML Liquid (matter) MG Gaseous (matter) MS Solid (matter) The main classes and subclasses may, if needed and appropriate, be further subclassified as follows, being preceded by the letter code of its higher-level class: . D Directed . G Guid

N Non-restricted Typical examples for a connect node, directed: MLD = connection to a high pressure fluid material beam in a numerically controlled tool; OD Typical examples for a connect node, guided: = connection to a laser beam. MSG = connection to a solid material transporting piping system

26、; OG = connection to an optical fibre system; EG Typical example for a connect node, non-restricted: = connection to an electric cable. ON = connection to a lamp or light emitting diode. NOTES 1 Connect nodes of the functional class F will not be found on a physical product. On a graphical symbol, a

27、 functional connect node may be found alone, identifying an access point to a functional symbol without any specific implementation means. For examples see IEC 81714-2. I 2 class are used to show functional relations among different graphical symbol occurrences in a diagram. The class linkage L is u

28、sed for classification of connect nodes of graphical symbols. Connect nodes of the linkage 4 Classification of networks Connect nodes on products are either virtually or physically connected to other products via a connection network. Due to the strong interrelation between the classification of net

29、works and the classification of connect nodes, occurring networks shall be also classified as in clause 3. 33、ifications associated with the objects dealt with in this standard. The data element types specified herein are intended for inclusion in the reference collection of IEC 613604 4. This annex facilitates therefore the application for new data element types as well as their maintenance. It is based on

34、 the requirements set up in IEC 61360-1 2 and IEC 61360-3 3.
