The curvesestablished for initial approval shall constitutethe reference standard and shall be kept on fi le atthe designated material laboratory. Test data, t est samples and a new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regul
21、ations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by th
22、is specification must have prior approval by theresponsible Materials Engineeri ng activity. Suppliers desiring approval ofthe ir materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to
23、the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.5.

The ManufacturingEngineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and theSafety U

The location in which it is used or storedshall be included in the notifications.5.3 APPLICATION TECHNIQUESThe use of a primer with the material defined by this specificationis not requ ired. A flash or baked prim
26、er may be used uponrecommendation of the specific vendor if essenti al to the performanceof his product.
